Fullstack Academy, a leading coding bootcamp, has a rigorous admissions process to ensure all incoming students are ready to succeed in a fast-paced, immersive educational environment. Applicants wishing to apply for Fullstack’s immersive cohorts beginning in September must submit an application form ASAP to be considered.
And although they practice selective admissions, Fullstack Academy wants to give all applicants the best possible chance to make it into the career-defining Software Engineering program. This means preparing for a timed coding assessment delivered through the in-browser testing tool, Hackerrank.
In order to perform maximally on Fullstack’s (and other top schools’) coding assessments, it’s important to be familiar with:
To improve candidates’ familiarity with all three aspects, Fullstack Academy offers free “admissions preparation” workshops near each admissions deadline. These workshops are run by Fullstack Academy Immersive instructors and feature extra one-on-one help from former Fullstack Academy students. Attendees will learn to approach — and solve — coding challenges using programming fundamentals over 3-hours. Furthermore, the event is operated 100% remotely using collaboration tools and live-streamed video, so you can attend from the comfort of your own home.
The next admissions preparation workshop is Saturday July 22nd and interested coders can register here.
In addition to this weekend’s workshop, bootcamp applicants can continue practicing coding challenges with the support of Fullstack’s instructional staff through their free Fullstack Prep course. Not only does this tool include access to coding challenges arranged by increasing level of difficulty, problem sets are followed by instructor walkthroughs and comments on methodology. You can learn more about Fullstack's Prep program in this post.
These free resources are ideal for anyone considering attending a coding bootcamp to advance their career.
