"I enjoyed the coding 101 course because it taught me that with the right support, anyone can learn to be an effective full stack developer. And you don’t have to spend a lot of money to do this."

"The program is really detailed, the content is well thought through with a well defined structure, with each lecture smoothly leading into the next."
I took the Full Stack Program Online. And my experience has been fantastic, the modules are very well done. At the end of each module you must carry out a project and some are a bit challenging. For support, you have the opportunity to book time with... Read More

"Fullstack program"
"This is my 4th month into the full-stack program and I am currently at the end of the dynamic web development course which teaches you how to build interactive front-ends with HTML and JavaScript. I have to build a simple game to complete this course.... Read More
The program provides lots of handson experience through exercises and projects. I have built at least 10 websites by now. Some of them are following tutorials and some of them are built completely on my own according to assignment goals. I got detailed feedback on all my assignments for bugs and improvements. This is a really good learning experience and good for building up confidence. There is a mentor that you can contact for help and guidance, this is very useful and worth every penny.
I don't have much to complain about the program really. But one thing I would mention is that I found it hard to stay focused early on, since you are always learning on your own. It took me at least a good two weeks to find my rymthm. So if you are thinking of signing up, you need to make sure you can learn in solitude, and have a study plan. My advice is that you need to be able to dedicate fixed timeslots on 3 to 4 days a week for studying and build a habit."

"Fun course"
Coding 101 is a fun little course that teaches you the very basics of programming. You will learn about binary numbers, loops, conditions, and try to use them in a maze solving game. This has got me wanting to learn more programming. Everyone should do... Read More

"Good alternative if you are on a budget"
The reason I chose Altcademy is because they are cheap. Cheap compared to most bootcamps.
The main concern I had before I made a decision to enrol is whether I will be learning less things due to the price difference. After some research, I realised most... Read More
As for the learning experience, I would say I am happy for what I paid for. The program is self paced, but they do give you a study schedule to help you plan. There isn't any hand holding, but there is definitely a lot of hands on experience with assignments and projects. There is a chatroom where you can discuss with other students. My mentors are experienced enough to answer most of my questions and they seem qualified based on their linkedin profile.
I think the most valuable thing this program offers is the mentorship support. Having a dedicated person who you can go to for help makes learning much easier. I can't really compare the experience with the more expensive bootcamps because I don't know what they are like. But if you are not able to shell out 10k, my guess is this could be a good alternative.

"Coding is not easy"
Coding isn't easy to learn and I can tell they tried their best to make the process less daunting. The mentoring is what keeps me going. Without my mentor's help, I probably would have given up in the first month.
The learning platform is easy to use.... Read More
This is actually my third attempt trying to learn coding. I enrolled in two other online schools before. The first time I gave up because I was lazy and not motivated enough. The second time I was not absorbing the content well, it was a video based curriculum, so I dropped out after two weeks. This time I feel like I will be able to get through as everything seems to be falling in place. I find that I can retain a lot more information with text based content and my mentor's support makes a huge difference.
P.S. I didn't sign up for the personalized option that comes with office hours. So far I feel getting help from chat and the Q&A portal is enough for my needs.

"The coding 101 course was good"
I felt that newbies in coding will have tough time doing the course, it would be nice if you can add more stuffs from beginner level, also there is only one coding assignment, others are all theories and answering questions. But it was really great to... Read More

"Coding 101 was shockingly enlightening."
Coding 101 for beginners was highly educational, fun at certain points, and in simulation, challenging my mind to correct my own coding issues. This course was very easy to understand, and made me want to learn so much more. It was broken down to a point... Read More
