Product management is a relatively new area in tech, but it’s quickly become one of the most important and intellectually stimulating jobs in the industry. CodeOp is not just a coding a school. It is a community that truly supports women++ who are transitioning to tech and even those who have already transitioned to tech. As a double bootcamp graduate, having done both the Full Stack Development Course and... Read More Data Science Course with CodeOp, and a teaching assistant, I have to say that this coding school is true to its mission in eradicating the gender gap in tech. As a student, I was fully supported from the very beginning. I do not think that I would have afforded these courses without any financial assistance and the school has a big list of financial support providers to choose from. And, even when I had issues with paying my deposit, I still felt welcome. As a student and teaching assistant, I saw that they are really committed to giving high-quality courses as developments and improvements to the curriculum are never-ending. With each iteration, we discuss how we can make the concepts more accessible and how we can improve student experience. And, I have seen a lot of developments since my first course and this was only last year. As a teaching assistant, I am impressed by the way we make our services personal. We always have our doors open for anyone who needs assistance, whether it is a tech issue or an emotional one. We understand and respect the courage that it takes to make the transition to tech and we are always there to give encouragement, pep talks and advice. This is probably what is missing from online, self-paced courses where the only forms of interaction are videos, forums and simulations — The human touch that makes the transition less scary and more memorable. And, I found that in this community. Hence, now that I have full time job as a junior developer / data scientist at a large tech consulting company, I continue my work with them as a teaching assistant as I am very happy and thankful to be part of this community.
I was recommended the bootcamp from someone very involved in the tech education industry which already created some expectations that, I'm confident to say, were surpassed. The curriculum is extensive and very complete. The instructors are very supportive,... Read More encouraging, resourceful, and updated. Also, the support from teaching assistants is great. The course itself is extremely fun. The distribution of the academic load in both the lecture and project phases felt very adequate and balanced while being challenging enough to prepare us for a future tech role. The career support is also very good and you can feel part of a community from the beginning.
"Product Management CodeOp Bootcamp: a great experience!"
I've attended the PM bootcamp with CodeOp in March-April 2022. The course is very intense, you get a lot of concepts and if you review the classes and keep up with the homework, provides you real added value. I took it while switching from one role to... Read More another, and it really helped me understanding a new approach to work. Teachers are very qualified and you feel a lot of support from everyone in the community, from past students, from the staff, from youwr classmates. I think the best thing about CodeOp, a part from the quality of the teaching, is the sense of community and belonging that you feel from the very first lectures. I wish it was in person, even though the online classes were very involving and intense as well!
From 0 knowledge to a 100% confidence that although you won´t get to know everything (with Data science it's imposible as it is ever evolving) you are ready to tackle any question with Data Science. The course is well structured, very hands on and well... Read More taught by a variaty of strong beautiful and empowered females. The community, their advice and follow up goes beyond the course and you feel the support is there for whenever you need it. If you are commited to bridge the gap of women in tech this is your place!
So I recently finished a full stack developer, 11 week bootcamp in CodeOp and all I have is positive feedback. The teachers are super enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile with you teaching stuff beyond what’s in the curriculum. The staff in general... Read More is not only nice and inclusive, they go above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable and they do check on how are you doing with an informal coffee (a bootcamp is mentally very tough, so the support is very appreciated). And last but not least they help you to get a job after the bootcamp is over. I finished mid December and I just signed my first contract as a software engineer. During this month I’ve worked with a career coach on my cv and on how to approach the job search and it all played out extremely well. They also have a lot of programs to help you financially to be able to access the programs. It’s definitely the best decision I’ve ever made! Totally and absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to change to a tech career.
I was looking for a right option for some time and although there are a lot of bootcamps out there it was quite difficult to find one that matched my criteria – part-time, remote and with live classes. I was a bit hesitant at first but everything from... Read More start to finish was a great experience. It is not an easy course to go through while working full time, but worth it if you are seriously thinking of learning to write code. I had some basic understanding of how an application works having done some intro classes at university and some beginner level python while completing online courses, but all paled in comparison to what I ended up learning throughout the course. It also helped me to realise there is much more to web/application development than just writing code and I’ve learned a lot about crucial stuff like dev environment, different technologies, troubleshooting and planning your own project. Before the bootcamp I would start a lot of different projects that would not go far at all as I couldn't even do basic CSS. I managed to complete bootcamp with loads of theoretical knowledge but also with three good projects, that I continued to work on afterwards and which helped me to get me a job as a developer. I was also able to cover topics that were not part of curriculum, but I asked and received additional support/advise. Just knowing there will be someone to help you troubleshoot your code was an amazing feeling and I miss that a lot! Learning environment was also friendly and encouraging. We were a small group, and it did not feel intimidating to ask questions and for additional help. Both instructors would often respond even over the weekend and have provided additional material (such as additional video recordings or code files) on more difficult topics. I met some amazing people and found the group project phase fun and engaging, but also a useful life like experience on building a project as a team. All the materials we received and live class recordings are available post bootcamp and I’ve used them for interview prep as well as a point of reference while working on my projects. Overall, I learned a lot, found a job as a developer and met some incredible people - could not ask for more :)

"A phenomenal bootcamp with a welcoming and supportive community"
I did quite a bit of research before choosing which coding bootcamp to enrol in, but after attending CodeOp's event on women transitionsing to tech and meeting some of the staff and alumnae it felt like a natural choice. A choice that I haven't regretted!... Read More The curriculum is very well designed and the teachers and TAs are phenomenal at explaining complicated concepts and breaking down the problems into smaller steps, while encouraging you to think and find the solutions on your own. Apart from that, you also have an inclusive community that offers support during, and also after the bootcamp. When I finished the bootcamp I could hardly believe the amount of new information that I learned and that, with a lot of hard work, patience and perseverance it was possible to transition to full stack development in such a short time!
""The most enriching and intensive 11 weeks in Codeop""
Moving from a different background, Initially I was skeptical about how the experience will be but it really surpassed my expectation and I am glad that I did full stack development course. The entire team of Codeop are very cooperative, always there... Read More to give guidance and a helping hand. The curriculum is tailor-made and whenever I felt little difficult to follow, Mentors helped me in every stage. What I like most was the way the mentors encouraged us to approach the problems and develop a problem solving mindset. It was challenging, with roller coaster of emotions, but I trusted the process and felt supported by everyone. I highly recommend Codeop to anyone who is looking for a professional transition to tech!
