My experience with CodeOp was amazing all of the instructors and people that work at CodeOp go above and beyond to help you. I have never felt so supported! The environment felt like a really safe space to learn with no judgement about your ability. I... Read More would highly recommend this for anyone looking to switch careers or to advance their technical skills!
"Great experience, I would recommend to anyone that would like to have a career as a software developer"
The pros are the structure that you would have to achieve your goals, the support and communication channels and the opportunity to work in teams and collaborate with other new programmers. The cons could be that you have to fully be committed and don't... Read More sub-estimate the amount of effort that you have to put in if you really want to learn you gonna have to make adjustments in your lifestyle.
"CodeOP Product Manager Bootcamp: An expereince like no other."
I was worried as I started the CopeOp Product Manager Bootcamp in April, I wasn't sure that I would make it to the end. But after that first class, I was sold. The lessons were very well developed and using Trello to share weekly reading lists and assignments... Read More was just genius. The topics were taught in a way that built up knowledge from one lesson to another. And the instructor, Romina Aswani, made sure that she was available for one on one's to make sure that you could go over concepts that you were having issues with. I was also able to take what I was learning and apply it to my day to day work outside of class. But the one thing that elevated this for me was that the experience wasn't like being in a class; it was a community. CodeOp created an environment that went beyond teaching skills but fostered between the participants and their team a sense of community and collaboration. My coursemates and I shared and support each other. We grew in confidence as we got to know each other and worked through tough concepts and real-life experiences that affected us especially in the course of a pandemic. As I prepare to take all I've learnt and continue to learn from the CodeOp team that still supports us, and the community forged with the rest of the community. Would recommend this to any women, of any age and nationality looking to transition to a tech career. The best decision I made in 2021 was signing up for this.
"Very complete Data Analytics course, really supportive mentors"
I've been 10 years unemployed (as a stay-at-home mom) and I wanted to come back to the tech industry, but my confidence levels were a bit low... I searched for academies focused on bringing women and other minorities into tech because I needed some encouragement,... Read More not just training. And I get the encouragement I needed and much more! The Data Analytics course is amazingly complete, and that makes me feel now super confident to restart my career. Also, when the course finishes, the CodeOp community is a very active group where you can find a lot of help while searching for a job.
As an international student, I was hesitant to join the program considering the culture barrier. However, it surpassed all my expectations. I met some wonderful people, gained practical knowledge and became job ready. The curriculum is very thorough.... Read More To be honest, I felt the curriculum got a little difficult to follow at some stages, but the mentors helped me cope with it. In hindsight, those stages prepared me for a grueling work life. What I liked the most was the way the mentors encouraged us to develop a problem solving mindset and have the courage to approach any problem calmly. I ended up making some phenomenal projects during the bootcamp and I'm so proud to show them off during my interviews.
To be honest, at first, I was very hesitant about the boot camp because as an American, the education system is always about profit first and not about education. I was also skeptical because of how insanely affordable and flexible they were with payment... Read More for such a robust curriculum. But let me tell ya, I was blown away at the amount and intensity of the material they teach you. Even with the part-time full-stack program, it was difficult, especially when juggling a full-time job. Despite the workload, I was in awe at how warm and welcoming the community was from day one. As much as we all struggled through many nights, cried, or said we wanted to quit, the empowerment we got from each other was unmatched, with the exception of sports. I don't regret my time here, and I am very grateful to the friends that I have made and the people who took the time to mentor, teach, and support us through our journey.
For me, doing a bootcamp on CodeOp made me feel that transition to tech was absolutely the right thing to do. The content of the course is quite intense but really complete. I've started knowing nothing of tech and ended up building full stack apps. Not... Read More only that, but the instructors are great and super supportive, and the diversity really contributes with a nice environment that help us to thrive and learn. Doing a remote bootcamp can be a bit challenging, not always you get the answer that you're looking for straight away, but this also make you go search for them (as it will be after in real life). And the team, even remotely, had a tech-support to help us. Obviously there is a lot yet to learn, but I feel that I've build a nice structure on how to learn tech.
I've attended a full stack development bootcamp with CodeOp Techsprint in the Kuala Lumpur campus. Two weeks after graduation, I've managed to secure a software engineering internship due to the job support they have provided post-bootcamp. The instructor... Read More and staff are genuinely encouraging in the students' learning and progress. I would highly recommend CodeOp to anyone!
"Incredible experience - intense, but so so worth it!"
I finished the full time Full Stack Development course so weeks ago and cannot be happier with the experience. The curriculum is extremely good, and still we learnt so many more extra things than the expected ones! The instructors are simply awesome,... Read More their enthusiasm is contagious and you can feel how much they love coding, which makes the classes and the learning experience so much more enjoyable. The projects, lectures and activities are all very well thought and the white boarding practice, coding challenges, and career week were all extremely useful. I loved how much I learn and how I have felt confident coding on my own and building stuff since the bootcamp ended, but most importantly I loved how great of a community CodeOp is. I always felt like I was in a safe space, fully supported by the staff and like each one of us mattered and was capable of doing great things.
