Cost: $3,500
Duration: 1 week
Locations: Online
Course Description:

The demand for mobile app development in the enterprise is exploding. Corporate clients and senior management are now requiring native iOS and Android application development from their IT teams. Since 2016 Coder Foundry has been teaching Xamarin, a tool for building cross-platform native applications for iOS, Android, and beyond. Our course was a solid introduction to Xamarin, suitable for new developers. Coder Foundry is expanding their mobile development training. Operating virtually, this workshop is a comprehensive and advanced course for existing professionals who are already experienced in building applications using C# and the .NET suite of tools.

This Xamarin Workshop is a project-based, in-person, mobile development course. The program simulates a true mobile app development sprint, starting with a client spec and ending with a running application. The course covers the full app development lifecycle, from setting up your environment to building mobile-specific features, to launching your project using the Azure Mobile Backend.

At the end of the workshop, you will have a fully-functional Mobile Ticket Manager, a project we designed so you can experience and many of the problems mobile developers face. Your application will meet the security, design, and scalability standards enterprise customers expect from their custom mobile apps. "Xamarin One Week Review"

Antonio was a great instructor for this one-week boot camp on Xamarin Mobile Development.

This was my first experience with CoderFoundry and first Mobile Development training and I was quite impressed. The instructor is well educated and/or experienced... Read More

As with any leading-edge technology training, we had our fair share of issues that slowed or delayed training, but nothing too serious. Most of these issues were caused by NuGet package updates that were unplanned since the previous month when this course was taught. Well, these issues are occurrences in .Net developer’s everyday life and you need to know how to understand or debug the problem, research and update the correct NuGet packages.

Being a seasoned Microsoft .Net developer, I had hoped for more in-depth coverage of Xamarin Forms and all its controls, but to attract a broader range of students with different experience levels, the class also included training/review in WebAPI and SQL to access the data for the mobile app. Other classes within an hour and a half drive offer the same similar curriculum. Overall the class covered a good basis to begin Xamarin Mobile development to grow from.

My employer had an existing Xamarin iOS application that I need to take over maintenance and development, Antonio also helped me learn how to configure my Mac and Visual Studio on my laptop to work together. THIS was a great help.

I would recommend this class to any Mid-Level or Sr. Level developer that is needing to or wanting to expand their development onto mobile devices.

I was recently hired as a .NET Developer, and my first assignment was to rewrite a basic inventory app in MVC. It has less than half the features of the demo projects I created at Coder Foundry. I literally just used my demo projects as a guide to implement... Read More

"Coder Foundry and after"

I attended the Masters Course at Coder Foundry (Kernersville, NC) in 2015, from July to September. Before attending I had very little knowledge of and experience with the technologies taught in the course and practically no knowledge or skill in web development.... Read More

Along with learning the most relevant web development technologies in the marketplace, Coder Foundry offers their job placement services to students upon, and sometimes before, completion of the course. This service is invaluable to under-experienced developers coming out of the course. Throughout the course, every Monday, each student has to attend a mock interview session where they present their current projects, explain their code and answer technical development and web technologies questions. The preparation that each student receives to assist them in landing a job after the course is amazing. I had three interviews within four weeks after completing the Masters Course. Even for that first real interview, I felt calm and in control, using the training and techniques taught by the Coder Foundry team. I landed my first development job only twenty-seven days after graduating from Coder Foundry.

With my first job, I increased my salary by 95.3%. Obviously, the ROI from Coder Foundry is not an issue. There is enough demand in the marketplace for developers with the skills taught at Coder Foundry that finding a job after the course should be the least of a student's worries.

The course is not easy. I don't want to make it sound like it is. It demands a lot of time, in the classroom and outside of it, but if a student puts in the time, uses the resources available to them, asks a lot of questions and has a passion for coding, they can begin a successful career in software/web development with the help of Coder Foundry.

I am a more fulfilled individual in my new career. I enjoy the culture and attitude of the development community and with my new schedule and salary am able to spend more time with my family, enjoying the things we like to do.

"Full Stack Immersive NYC"

My instructor was phenomenal. Some of the instructors are CF graduates, but don't let that worry you. They're not just the best graduates from their cohort, they also have years of industry experience and are super qualified to be teaching.

I landed a job before the end of my cohort. Coder Foundry helps you build a stellar resume and helps you a lot with finding jobs. Every Monday there's practice interviews so by the time you're in real interviews you're going to be super prepared. With the portfolio you'll have built by the end and all the skills and experience you've acquired from building the websites from the ground up, companies will be eager to sweep you up.

You definitely get more than you put in. If you put in a lot of time, care, and effort into your projects you're going to come out as a very good developer.

I did not consider their job placement services as very important to me when I came in. I was going to take charge of my own placement. But looking back now, I am very appreciative of it. Towards the end of the course when I should have started my own job search, well, I was swamped with trying to complete assignments and my portfolio. All the interviews I've gotten thus far have been through Coder Foundry's contacts. 1/3 of my class had job offers before we graduated, and another 1/3 had job offers the first week after graduation. I'm thankful they were working to place me when I was too busy to do it myself.

CF's job preparation was invaluable, and resulted in much greater confidence once I was in the job search process. I got my current job (which I love) because of CF's job placement services - less than two weeks after finishing the program. Several coworkers have been surprised to hear that I've been coding for less than a year! CF not only gave me a strong foundation of knowledge, they taught me skills to keep learning and improving. Your future employer won't spoon feed you, and neither will CF. Great preparation for living the dream as a software engineer.
