|Description||Coding Temple’s 10-Week MEAN-Stack Development Course is an accelerated course where participants learn a complete set of tools required to build functional Web Applications. The part time course caters to individuals that need to balance existing daytime commitments with their desire to learn software development. One of the primary advantages of teaching the MEAN-stack in an accelerated format is that students are only required to learn a single programming language for both Front-End and Back-End development needs. For the MEAN-Stack Development Course, Coding Temple has focused on an emerging set of open-source tools and technologies favored by technology startups and developers who prefer a leaner and more cost-effective approach to developing software. While most of the technologies in this course will continue to evolve over time to meet the needs of changing industries, Coding Temple has focused on a stack that we feel provides a strong feature set and long term viability. The part-time course meets Monday through Thursday during the evening for ten weeks. A typical evening will last just over three hours, and will consist of classroom discussions, lectures, and programming exercises. Some topics covered will include Agile Development Methodology, NoSQL, and Open-Source Frameworks, Pair Programming. Students are responsible for contacting the Instructor or Instructional Assistants for any additional help they may require outside of established class time. Additionally, students should be able to commit an additional 20 hours per week outside of class to self-guided study and assignments. At the conclusion of the course, participants will have exposure to the full MEAN-stack and should be comfortable developing functional web applications.|

|Description||Course Description Anyone from those looking to learn about the world of software to those who want to dive deep and find a fulfilling job, there’s a place at Coding Temple. Unlike other coding boot camps, we do not expect students to have any previous programming experience. Our number one goal is to teach you the skills needed to land and perform well in an entry-level web developer position. For the first 3 weeks you will learn the C# programming language and HTML/CSS, along with industry-standard tools such as Sublime Text and Git. This portion will be considered the “prework” week. After you have a solid grasp of C#, we will then start our on-campus sessions where you will learn about the web, databases, libraries, and frameworks. This includes Entity Framework, SQL, jQuery, and ASP.NET. You will also learn about best industry practices such as DRY code, pair programming, and design patterns. During the second half of the course you will work on 2 real projects that you can showcase to your potential employers. For the last couple weeks you will have the option to either work on a capstone project to demonstrate your job readiness or a real world project, which we have secured through one of our partners. Our class is a hybrid of lecture and hands on coding. In class, you will be lectured on technologies, introduced to new concepts by explaining the fundamentals and then shown examples of how to apply them in code. You will apply these concepts yourself by writing code, while the instructors will be on standby to assist. Some days, you will be pair programming (an industry software development technique), while on other days you will be a lone wolf. The reason behind pairing is it helps assimilate knowledge faster by helping you catch each other’s mistakes, come up with new ideas which cannot be conceived by oneself, or even teach other neat tricks.|

Taking this course is one of the best decisions I've made. They are really willing to put time and effort into teaching me the language. I had very little experience prior to this course, so naturally I was nervous about learning all the knowledge needed in a 3 month time frame. Luckily, the instructors and staff made me erase my doubt. If you are looking for a bootcamp in the Chicago area, I strongly recommend Coding Temple!
