I went into this course knowing nothing about web development or coding and I came out with a well rounded knowledge of python and computer operations. The course was difficult but taught me a lot on how to research on my own, which often led to sparking... Read More my curiosity in other computer operations.... The python course taught more than just basic python fundamentals, such as git, bash, mysql and more. Also, i loved how the final project allowed us to choose what we were interested in. I have begun a cyber security course and I feel a little ahead of the game because of the python course. My only suggestion would be to include windows operations into the course work because it seemed the learning material was geared for Mac users, and since mac and pc have slightly different controls, it caused me to spend extra time researching how to do the things on PC. Overall, the codingnomad team are dedicated to their students and if you ever have any issues or questions, they are right there to help. Their courses allow you to work at your own pace, which i greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend.

I took a month of mentorship and my mentor Martin did a very good job. I learned a lot. I needed help with a code institute project. Code institutes quality of teaching material is not of a very high standard always, but i am impressed with the level... Read More of quality and help i recieved from Coding Nomads. They really care and that is a big plus. Code institute has maybe grown to big to quick. So i am glad i found Coding Nomads. I can highly recommend them.

After trying to learn Python on my own and with Udemy courses in the past and struggling to stick with it, I decided to go with a boot camp with the hope that the accountability and structure would get me through to the end. I found Codingnomads on switchup... Read More and decided to schedule an intro call with Ryan, the founder to see if it would be a good fit. Ryan answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease so I decided to take the plunge. I chose to take the course with the mentored option and was paired with a mentor within a few days. The good course content along with weekly mentor sessions has been the difference in allowing me to progress and I'm well on my way to completing the course! The staff, group of mentors and fellow students are an awesome, supportive community to be part of. No question is a stupid one and there's always someone there to help with questions, simple and complex. Very glad I decided to choose Coding Nomads and will definitely be doing another course here.

When I was searching for a coding bootcamp I was a little overwhelmed at the sheer multitude of options. I tried a few trials at other bootcamps, but wasn't convinced. They worked with me to tailor my experience to my needs, and were super helpful throughout the entire process of getting started. My mentor is very responsive, knowledgeable, invested in my ultimate career success, and always willing to tailor our sessions to my needs/questions. In addition to mentoring sessions Coding Nomads regularly puts out videos on different topics to expand your knowledge beyond the specific course you are taking. The Coding Nomads course content is designed well and with the mindset of preparing you to finish the course with all of the tools you need to land a programming position and immediately contribute to your team. Each lesson provides opportunities to dive deeper into the content and gives both video/audio as well as written explanations of the concepts. The lessons also typically include a bit of humor which makes the experience a little more fun. I haven't completed my course yet, though I am at the end, but I am confident they will continue to impress me in the future with their job support. Overall, it has been a great experience where I feel my journey is tailored to my needs, and I am so happy I chose Coding Nomads!

I had made a decision after the pandemic to pursue a career in data science and analytics after a 20-year career in high-tech product management and marketing. Although I had Coursera certifications in Data Science/R/SQL and had done a fair amount of... Read More hands-on modeling and prediction, my coding skills were less than decent. I wasn't sure if I should get a masters or try a boot camp. Thankfully I went the latter route, as it materialized into meaningful job opportunities much sooner - and without big expense. However, CodingNomads not only made me proficient in Python in record time (4 weeks), but their mentoring service made my data science experience in the program incredibly practical. I had begun interviewing for sr data scientist roles within weeks of starting the program based on precise career advice and coaching. These interviews are backed up by practical, real-world projects that showcase my understanding of data science applicable to product management, marketing, and other business-oriented roles. Now it's just a matter of time (and effort) before landing that first role in this new field for me.

The communication I had with the instructor was above and beyond what I expected, even from much more expensive and well known companies. The instructional videos were clear and up to date, and there was a lot of insightful pedagogical content, including tips about self care and time management. Highly recommended, especially for new coders who can commit the time to a well organized beginner-to-advanced curriculum and appreciate actual mentorship.

I joined the Machine Learning course with Gilad and I can honestly say that it was a fantastic experience. The mentored sessions are incredibly flexible regarding their schedule and also pausing for number of weeks with the sessions was no problem at... Read More all. I could focus on anything that was important to me during these sessions - Gilad was extremely helpful in every case. Even outside of these session Gilad always helped me with issues I had during the week. The Jupyter notebooks for the course are extremely well done in many regards (good coding, good structure, good topics, easy to follow) and were just a lot of fun to work through. The videos accompanying the course are of great help to understand new concepts and are doing a fantastic job at explaining everything in easy to understand terms. For many years I wanted to get into machine learning but never got to it. I am a PhD student and machine learning was not yet important for my work. With the high working hours in my job I needed a weekly push to start, while still being able to spend time on the course as flexibly as possible. The online course format of CodingNomads was perfect for that purpose! The course is based on fantastic jupyter notebooks with supplementary videos explaining everything and quizzes you can take - all of which you work through during the week. If you choose to do the mentored course, you get a 1h session with a mentor - for me almost always it was ~5-10min longer than that, never less. The mentored sessions were the perfect push for me and Gilad really did a fantastic job focusing on whatever was important for me. Importantly, the timing of the meeting was incredibly flexible - which was just awesome for me. Pausing for a number of weeks and adding these sessions to the end of the course - no problem at all. Changing the time or day of the course - no worries. Since I had quite a bit of programming experience prior to the course, I finished with the course material ahead of time. But Gilad immediately pointed me towards another course to work through (about deep learning) and also put me in contact with some people to address specific math questions I had for deep learning research. The course he recommended actually is quite a famous course but I found the programming there less good on many levels than the jupyter notebooks of the CodingNomads course - great job, Gilad! In addition, he also helped me improve my IDE for coding and gave recommendations for implementing testing more thoroughly. Thanks a lot for this fantastic course which was exactly what I needed!

I followed the Data Science and Machine Learning course and I loved it. The course is extremely well structured and takes you step by step so you never feel overwhelmed by too much information. The resources are great and the projects to complete on Jupyter... Read More notebooks at the end of each section were extremely useful to consolidate the topics covered in each lesson. They encourage you to make mistakes and reflect on them at each step. I could not recommend mentorship enough. It changes your whole learning experience. I have just finished my PhD in neurosciences during which I taught myself how to code and conduct statistical analysis watching Youtube videos and reading online papers. Learning with someone is tremendously more effective. My mentor guided me towards which resources to use, tested me on my knowledge and made sure I could actually explain with accurate terms what each algorithm meant. Until you are asked, you never fully realise the grey areas of your knowledge and what you decided to make approximations of to move on faster to the next topic. A mentor makes you reflect on what you learnt, on why it is relevant and more than challenging your knowledge, challenges your motivation and curiosity to wanting to pursue in this field. The whole community is amazingly supportive. Ryan is very responsive and truly cares about helping people achieve their goals. The community and my mentor helped me prepare for a technical job interview only a few days after I enrolled to the course. I got the job. Now having started my new job, I am still in touch with Ryan and my mentor who make sure I am succeeding in my new role and regularly offer help and guidance. I've just finished the Python course and thought that it was great! I purchased the access to the learning materials and completed the whole course in around 2 month. Overall, I think it's a great way to learn Python because it provides a clear roadmap... Read More of topics to study and very good exercises. It also a very practical course that touches on various topics. The final project is challenging, but fun!
