Before picking up Microverse's Full Stack Development Course, I was a self-taught novice programmer and was learning it as a hobby. I never thought I could become a full-fledged web developer. After going through the first three modules out of the eight modules in the course, I am now in the capstone project week of Module 3 - React. These last three and a half months have been intense learning and pair-programming with students from around the world, and they have taught me almost all the necessary skills that I need to be a front-end developer. These are skills in HTML/CSS, Responsive Design, JavaScript, and React, and lots of other soft skills, including working in a team, communicating with peers, pair-programming, etc. The next two modules will be for back-end development, focusing on Ruby, Ruby On Rails, and databases, and will be followed by three other modules that will prep us for job interviews and projects that enhance the skills that we learned in the first five modules. It's a very good investment of one's time and efforts, and I truly feel I will be transformed into a capable Full Stack Developer after the ten months long course.
