I had no prior knowledge or experience with coding when starting the course, so I was actually a bit surprised... Read More that I could get along quite well with the material. For a big part, this is due to the well curated material in the reader and the excellent lectures and guidance offered by the experienced teachers. I was impressed by the quality of the course and its curriculum and by the level of dedication of the teachers, who were always ready to help with any problems. The dense curriculum and intensive course resulted into a lot of hard work, but the experience was also a lot of fun and I got to share it with a bunch of amazing people. Would definitely recommend anyone to join the MindMingle bootcamp!

Read More you can tell that it is well-coordinated and you are in the supportive atmosphere to overkill it. after the 10-week course, they also guided us through the job search for junior developers with mini-lectures and weekly standups. The overall experience is encouraging, cannot recommend it more!

I moved to the Netherlands recently with my husband. Since the standards for my diploma profession is different in EU and also because I don't know Dutch, I decided to change the area of my professional activity. I was familiar with Python and Django... Read More (Django template language mostly) at that moment, so I applied for some jobs with Python. I wasn't successful and I understood that my knowledge is not good enough and very chaotic. Because of that I started to look for a coding bootcamp and discovered Le Wagon at first. I have read their curriculum for full-stack development, but as I have already seen vacancies on the job market - I had doubts with the Ruby on Rails in the study program, as this is not very popular language nowadays. Then a friend told me about Mind Mingle. I've read the program, saw a lot of words that I have seen in job descriptions and decided to participate. Before the start I had an interview with Swen during which we discussed my background and expectations. The interview wasn't technical, although Swen has asked me whether I know what is if-statement :D. But it is just because I said that I have some knowledge of programming already. About the course: It was very intensive and modern. During the first week we learned about some basics of JavaScript and TypeScript, but on the second we immediately dived into React. I can say that for me React week was the hardest, but also the most interesting one. The next one with backend was simpler. At the fourth week we had a group project when we learned how to work together at the same code base and how to use git effectively. It was also very interesting one because all of us had different views about optimal ways of solving the problems. I also want to mention that in the end of every week with new learning material, we had an assessment. They were a bit scary, but actually they helped me to understand my weak points for further (home) learning. In the end of our course we all have made a personal project. Although we mostly learned Express for backend during our studies, Swen and Aiden offered us to try something different and I chose to make backend with Django Rest framework. I can't say it was easy, and big thanks to Swen, who helped me with some problems in the last minute. Also thanks to Aiden, who gave me really nice advises about how to make my site look better. Also during the course we created CVs and motivation letter and discussed with our teachers what to change in them. We used real job descriptions from the market and after that we had mock interviews with very detailed reviews on it. So now I started my job searching journey as a fullstack or frontend developer. Aiden and Swen help us with that and even give us some vacancies to consider. Let's see how it will go! Sorry for such a long read, I hope it was useful.

Mind Mingle offered in-person classes and had by far the most job-market relevant tech stack, as they teach TypeScript, React,... Read More Next, Express, Prisma among other things. Some other bootcamps still teach outdated frameworks like Ruby on Rails, but at Mind Mingle there's a strong focus on teaching the most up-to-date technologies, which give you the best chances on the job market. I really enjoyed the lectures and contents taught by Swen and Aiden, who are both super passionate about teaching and just all-around great guys. The course is made for people who have no experience with programming, but this doesn't mean that it's easy. If your looking for a course that you can do with little effort, on the side, this bootcamp is not for you. You will learn new things every day and on Fridays there will be assessments, which you have to pass. If your ambitious and willing to put in the work, it takes to learn programming though, then Mind Mingle is definitely the best choice. In week six you will already build your own web applications, which is a really cool feeling :) I tried courses on Codecademy before, but I was always missing the possibility to ask questions with those online courses. At Mind Mingle, I was just able to ask any questions I had and that helped me massively to stay motivated and make progress with programming. I'm so so happy I had the courage to make this step and learn programming at Mind Mingle. I recently graduated from the bootcamp and have been applying to jobs since about two weeks. While I haven't gotten a job offer yet, I already had six interviews with recruiters and hiring managers, which feels like a very positive reaction to the applications I've sent so far.

Mindmingle taught us the relevant technologies that are used in the work field and the basic expertise and tactics to learn new technologies. After the 10-week BootCamp, they offer various tips and tricks and guidance for applying for a software development job. Can recommend Mindmingle to everyone who is looking for a career switch to Tech in the Netherlands.

My Journey:  I came from a Physiotherapy background with zero tech education. Before I enrolled, I explored the field just to confirm my genuine interest. Upon joining (21 days before the commencement), I was given some pre-work related to HTML, CSS,... Read More and very basic JS. The course began with TypeScript and JavaScript fundamentals and then progressed to cover topics like React, Next.js, Express, Prisma, and Tailwind CSS. All this sounds a lot and overwhelming, but this is where the teaching methodology made the difference. Usually, each topic was covered in a week, where the first two days were focused on basics and with ample hands-on exercises and then we progressed towards advanced concepts. There was plenty of time for self-learning and both Swen and Aiden were always there for any doubts or more clarifications. This is also a big plus for a small in-person class setup, it’s so much more convenient to ask quick questions. Their extensive teaching experience meant they were well aware of the challenges beginners face, and they were patient and empathetic in addressing these challenges.  After these topics, we worked on two group projects and a portfolio project. Again, the amount of support was unlimited, I used some libraries in my project which was not part of the course but I still got all the support I needed. We sometimes sat for hours, pair programming complex things. This was also a big plus, you get to see how the Pros do it :). Along with the projects, we prepared our CVs and had mock interviews.  While the course was intensive, we had lots of fun too, there was a meme channel and Friday beers. We all had different backgrounds and I was initially hesitant if I would fit in or not but I ended up making new friends.  I finished the course successfully and I feel confident enough, not just for the topics we were taught, but also if I have to work on new languages and frameworks. TLDR; 1. Well structured course that comes with all the support from the mentors.  2. The concepts are explained in ways that are easy to understand for beginners.  3. Lots and lots of hands-on with multiple projects and exercises to ensure that the concepts are well absorbed.  4. CV Preparations, Mock interviews, and even professional photo shoots for profile pictures. 5. The environment was really chill and welcoming. 6. Did I mention, the unlimited support from the mentors?  Pro tip! Do the pre-work sincerely and then you will glide through the course.
