Read More easier to understand as they could help explain where i was foggy with the concepts I would recommend Basics to my friends because i think this basics course (which is free!!) has condensed many things required to have a solid beginning knowledge of software engineering. The videos were also bite-sized and easy to consume, so it does not drain us with too much info at any one time. Additionally, the examples were also explained very well and easy to follow. Section leaders were also very helpful, very willing to help us with areas that we have questions on, and also, going above and beyond to help find explanation for things they themselves might not be able to explain well. I had a very good experience with rocket and i hope that this culture will continue, for future batches to benefit.

Questions on slack are welcome so that the clasmates can learn from one another. While alot of the materials are available online, nothing beats joining the class because there is an opportunity for QA to clarify your doubts, a brief walkthrough at the start of every class to cement the materials in pre-class and more and a pair programming. During pair programming, the section leader will hop in to provide guidance as she makes the rounds. Even when I felt like giving up, I told myself if my section leader is not giving up on me, how can I give up on myself.
