This convinced me to enroll, and I joined Scaler in July 2023.

As a non-tech graduate, the initial stages were challenging for me to grasp, but I didn’t give up. I continued my efforts and sought help from Scaler’s TA team through video calls. They were incredibly supportive, guiding me through every detail, including the basics. The TA team didn’t just come and go—they stayed until I fully understood the concepts, even if it took an hour. Their assistance was truly commendable.

Curriculum: Scaler’s curriculum is quite impressive. They start by introducing you to the programming language they’ll teach, followed by Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), which is a crucial part for any engineer. The teaching methodology stands out—each module is led by a different instructor with substantial experience in that specific language or topic. Doubts are resolved during live classes, so you don’t have to wait for the session to end or for a separate doubt-clearing class, which I found very impressive. Mentors help you create an effective resume and guide you on where and how to apply for jobs. These mentors are experienced professionals with strong career journeys, making their guidance invaluable. I found this aspect extremely helpful.

Job Support: Scaler has a dedicated team that sends job opportunities based on your preferences and assists in scheduling interviews with companies. You can view all your preferred job listings in one place. They even provide a resume builder to create a job-ready resume. Through Scaler, I secured a three-month internship with Edera as a Software Engineer Intern, and the experience was satisfactory. Currently, I’m exploring better opportunities.

However, there are a few areas where Scaler could improve. For instance, when a job application or resume gets rejected, they don’t provide proper feedback for improvement, which I believe should be addressed. Students need detailed feedback to understand their shortcomings. Additionally, I suggest Scaler incorporate AI modules into their Full Stack Developer course, as AI skills are increasingly in demand. Apart from these points, I find Scaler’s offerings impressive.

Overall, Scaler is an excellent platform for those seeking a career transition. They have a dedicated team of counselors who thoroughly explain the course and outline your learning journey. Before enrolling, you must pass an entrance test, which ensures you’re prepared for the program.

But I wanted to apply there were always constraints due to python or java. I new javascript. So I applied for javascript. But the problem is they ask certification for everything, even for internships. It felt like we have to go through endless certifications to land a job which gives us 3 lakhs / annum .
I will list out some certifications.
DSA
Database
Python/java/javascript
Mern stack/reactjs. If you want to apply to some jobs
LLD-1, 2,3
HLD
Etc.
And the problem is its Compulsory to pass them if you want to apply for job.
Now why do I need HLD if I am a fresher?
So, I don't think the job support is helpful at all for freshers.
Its like companies want everything for 3 lpa/ annum
Also before joining scaler I already was very good with DSA, database and had few projects in Reactjs and a publication and had made it to last rounds in Amazon, ellucian etc. And got 1-2 offers as well in a small startup which was around 9lpa . But at that time I wasn't able to take the offer due to personal reasons.
With scaler I wasn't even able to schedule an interview which had 6LPA Salary. So for me it was a huge downgrade .
Overall I your Motive is to upskill and study the platform is Great with one of the best teachers and really intelligent smart and helpful people. But job support?
I got only one offer from scaler and that too as an intern . In a company I won't mention and that too as a UI developer where I only had to work on html +css and even that was limited . And also they didnot make anyone permanent after 6 months of internship at INR 10,000/month . I think such companies should not be allowed as they are only for time wasting of candidates.
