"The curriculum, faculty, and course structure are quite satisfactory. However, a little more dedicated support for freshers—especially in terms of job placement and career guidance—would greatly enhance the overall experience."

"Scaler DSML Review: Industry-Relevant Learning with Room for Placement Improvements"
My Experience with Scaler Academy’s Data Science & Machine Learning Program (DSML)
I enrolled in Scaler’s Data Science and Machine Learning (DSML) program in February 2023, and my overall experience has been extremely positive, especially in terms of curriculum... Read More
Curriculum & Learning Experience:
The curriculum is exceptionally well-designed, up-to-date, and aligned with current industry requirements. Every topic is covered in-depth and builds upon foundational concepts, which makes it suitable even for those coming from non-CS backgrounds. Each module ends with a dedicated test, followed by a mock interview, which I found incredibly useful for building interview readiness. These assessments ensure you're not just passively learning but actively preparing for real-world job scenarios. This structured approach clearly sets Scaler apart from many other ed-tech platforms.
Teaching Quality & Mentorship:
Scaler's instructors are top-tier professionals, many of whom are currently working in or have worked at leading tech companies. I was fortunate to be taught by some of the best minds in the industry.Another standout feature is the Teaching Assistant (TA) support — it's prompt, knowledgeable, and accessible. Having a TA readily available to clarify doubts is something rarely seen in most other courses. Whether it’s a conceptual doubt or debugging code, help is always a message away.
Resources & Flexibility:
The dashboard is user-friendly, with access to:Recorded lectures (a blessing for working professionals like me),Well-structured notes & Colab notebooks after each session,Assignments for hands-on practice, which reinforce the concepts effectively.I primarily relied on recorded lectures due to my work schedule, and I never felt like I missed out on anything. The content delivery was smooth, structured, and self-paced friendly.
Placement Support – A Balanced View
When it comes to placement support, I would rate it as moderate. Scaler does provide job referrals, mock interviews, and resume review services. However, the effectiveness highly depends on your background and current job market conditions. As of June 2025, the job market is relatively slow, and hiring has been cautious across industries.
I’ve observed that:
Candidates with prior professional or domain-relevant experience tend to benefit the most from Scaler’s placement support.
Freshers or individuals from non-technical/non-relevant backgrounds may find it more challenging.
A long notice period (e.g., 90 days) also limits placement opportunities, as many companies are reluctant to wait that long.
That said, Scaler can’t fully control the hiring trends or market volatility, but more tailored support or alternate placement strategies for freshers would definitely be appreciated.
Final Verdict:
If you're looking to build solid foundations in Data Science and Machine Learning, especially if you're a working professional, Scaler’s DSML program is a fantastic investment. Their teaching quality, structured learning, resources, and support system are truly among the best in the ed-tech space today.Placement support is decent, especially if you come in with prior experience, but could be improved for freshers and those with long notice periods.

"My Journey with Scaler – A Truly Transformative Experience"
I joined Scaler with a non-tech background, feeling a mix of hope and uncertainty. Looking back now, I can confidently say that it was one of the best decisions I made for my career. The DSML course at Scaler is not just well-structured but also incredibly... Read More
One of the most valuable aspects of Scaler was the peer learning environment – the community is genuinely supportive, collaborative, and always willing to help each other grow. The mentorship, resume reviews, and mock interviews were extremely useful and played a huge role in preparing me for the real-world job market. Each element of the program felt carefully designed to build not just skills but confidence.
Despite coming from a non-technical background, I was able to secure a job within 7-8 months, which speaks volumes about the effectiveness of the program and its outcomes. Yes, the fee structure is slightly on the higher side, but given the level of support, mentorship, and outcomes, I can wholeheartedly say that it is absolutely worth it.
Scaler didn’t just teach me technical skills – it helped me believe in my potential. I’m truly grateful to the entire team and community for making this journey so impactful.

In the Data Engineering module, Amit Singh provided deep insights and practical knowledge that were extremely valuable. The sessions on Low-Level Design (LLD) and High-Level Design (HLD) were also among the highlights of the program — the instructors delivered them in a structured and engaging manner that helped me grasp architectural thinking, which I initially found quite challenging.
Scaler Academy’s focus on mentorship, regular assessments, and real-world interview preparation made a significant difference in my learning journey. The support from the teaching staff and peers was outstanding throughout.
Overall, I highly recommend Scaler Academy to anyone aiming to build a strong foundation and grow professionally in software development — regardless of their academic background.

Here’s what made the difference for me:
Beginner-Friendly Learning:
The instructors at Scaler are not only knowledgeable but incredibly skilled at breaking down complex topics. They teach with clarity, structure, and a passion for helping you truly understand—even if you're returning to academics after 18 years (like me!).
End-to-End Career Support:
Scaler provided hands-on career transition support. From personalized mentorship to a dedicated point of contact who guided me through the process, I felt supported every step of the way.
A Supportive Peer Community:
What stood out most was the incredible peer group I became a part of. I met others just like me—seasoned professionals making bold career changes after a decade or more. The encouragement and camaraderie made the journey far less lonely.
My advice to anyone with a half-met dream:
Don’t hesitate to start again. Even if you’re unsure about a full course, joining a strong, growth-oriented community like Scaler’s can make all the difference.

"Scaler Journey"
I joined Scaler in July 2023. I hold a B.Com degree and had worked in various industries across different MNCs. However, I wanted to transition my career into tech. After researching multiple sources, I initially encountered negative reviews and feedback... Read More
As a non-tech graduate, the initial stages were challenging for me to grasp, but I didn’t give up. I continued my efforts and sought help from Scaler’s TA team through video calls. They were incredibly supportive, guiding me through every detail, including the basics. The TA team didn’t just come and go—they stayed until I fully understood the concepts, even if it took an hour. Their assistance was truly commendable.
Curriculum: Scaler’s curriculum is quite impressive. They start by introducing you to the programming language they’ll teach, followed by Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), which is a crucial part for any engineer. The teaching methodology stands out—each module is led by a different instructor with substantial experience in that specific language or topic. Doubts are resolved during live classes, so you don’t have to wait for the session to end or for a separate doubt-clearing class, which I found very impressive. Additionally, instructors don’t just teach; they also answer questions about the job market and the skills required in the real world, addressing everyone in the class, not just specific individuals. If you need personalized guidance, one-on-one mentor sessions are available. After completing each module, you must score at least 70+ in a contest and clear a mock interview with a mentor to mark the module as complete. This process is beneficial as it helps students understand their true standing.
Mentor Sessions: For career guidance or if you’re struggling to figure things out, you can schedule a call with a mentor. They assist with everything related to your career and courses. Mentors help you create an effective resume and guide you on where and how to apply for jobs. These mentors are experienced professionals with strong career journeys, making their guidance invaluable. I found this aspect extremely helpful.
Job Support: Scaler has a dedicated team that sends job opportunities based on your preferences and assists in scheduling interviews with companies. You can view all your preferred job listings in one place. They even provide a resume builder to create a job-ready resume. Through Scaler, I secured a three-month internship with Edera as a Software Engineer Intern, and the experience was satisfactory. Currently, I’m exploring better opportunities.
However, there are a few areas where Scaler could improve. For instance, when a job application or resume gets rejected, they don’t provide proper feedback for improvement, which I believe should be addressed. Students need detailed feedback to understand their shortcomings. Additionally, I suggest Scaler incorporate AI modules into their Full Stack Developer course, as AI skills are increasingly in demand. Apart from these points, I find Scaler’s offerings impressive.
Overall, Scaler is an excellent platform for those seeking a career transition. They have a dedicated team of counselors who thoroughly explain the course and outline your learning journey. Before enrolling, you must pass an entrance test, which ensures you’re prepared for the program.
