After couple of weeks of the beginning of the bootcamp, I started knowing what Computer Science is really about, and that knowledge took me to another place, and that’s all I wanted!

Read More the mindset of whoever takes this course, not to mention the brilliant guest speakers who deliver tech talks about a variety of computer science work related topics. Finding a job after finishing the program was made easy, due to the exposure we had as students to companies and to the excellent skills we were able to add to our resumes. In summary, SEFactory is the 1-3 years of experience that employers ask for.

There are many pros for joining SE Factory but one stands out of the rest, and its the ability to learn how to learn. Read More become subject to code reviews, done in front of everyone so all would learn from each other. Emphasis on coding style along with efficient approaches to solutions . In no way did our instructor really step in to help us with specific technologies, he always worked with us on an abstracted level where we would have to generate the solutions for ourselves. We where given assignments that are meant to enhance our abilities and skills to cope with the growing market. There is a massive gap between what an individual learns in university and what a tech company expects this individual to know. The boot camp gave us the skills to work on projects that are realistic for a work environment and taught us how to work together so we all learned and nobody was left behind.

The time spent there was fun but very exhausting. We where dedicating literally all our time to it. I remember days where i stayed in for a whole day, even slept there. It was no walk in the park. I can easily say that this was the most stressful 3 months in my life. During the camp i would get angry at the time i have put into it, but then i found myself rather excited for the next bout of projects and what new things i will learn. The technologies used during the boot camp is not what is important but how we approached learning them was really the goal. SE Factory aims at teaching us the most it can in the short time of 3 months, which at times people will hate due to the annoying short deadlines. Although i was put through a lot of pressure, sticking through till the end showed me how much i spent there was minimal. Minimal if you compared what i learned at university at a much more lenient time.

Here are but a few of the things SE Factory gave me:
- The skills and confidence to handle work level and even higher projects
- The the title of being full stack web developer, and so much more
- The drive to find and learn solutions to problems that might arise throughout my career
- The discipline on how to compose myself in the work environment
- The confidence to become a public speaker
- The knowledge on how to debate topics in an orderly fashion
- Connection to the top minds and companies in my area

SEFactory has been a life changing experience for me.
