Read More to no prior knowledge of coding but through the bootcamp's curriculum I was able to build a strong foundation.
Some other pros would be the community that you get access to and amount of support you get from both career mentors and personal mentors. Some assignments can be a little difficult (especially as someone new to coding) but through the online community on Slack, help from mentors, and office hours, everything was manageable. The pacing of the course is fair as well.
Some cons would be that the entire course is online so for people that have trouble learning remotely that can cause an issue. Another con could be that most early assignments have a lot of given assistance and are a little bit "hand-holdy" but this gets alleviated towards later assignments and capstone projects.
Overall, this I enjoyed and am proud of completing this bootcamp and would recommend it to others.

Read More of course their job guarantee: generous yet demanding enough to keep me determined to complete the coursework. Although my timeline was a little longer than others, I was able to gain a lot of experience and learn a lot of important skills used in the industry today, namely React and TypeScript. The Springboard curriculum really packs a lot of content into the equivalent of two or three semesters, yet all very applicable to modern software engineering.

If there is one thing I think they could improve, I think it's that the coursework is primarily if not entirely independent. I think the curriculum and the students' portfolio would benefit greatly from at least one big group project.

This was a great way for me to continue my learning for my career while still allowing me flexibility for my job and family. I just completed my entire course and am awaiting my certificate! Springboard has been a great bootcamp overall in my experience. As an individual who was working full-time and finishing assignments, projects, etc., I loved the admin and support's flexibility... Read More in helping me achieve my goals. I had a great mentor who provided invaluable feedback and guidance on getting me closer to finishing this curriculum. I found the workload, networking, and endeavor to be worthwhile because for me it meant something, not just completing a bootcamp.

While this bootcamp provided great coursework, a structured plan on how to teach the student what is needed of an engineer from A to Z, and a supportive community of co-students and alumni, it's important to note that working through all of this doesn't mean that you're guaranteed a job at your front door. Like any other tech bootcamp, choosing to dive into such a journey requires that you be prepared and fully committed, considering your professional and personal lifestyle, how this will fit into your schedule, and ultimately what it will mean for you to achieve completion. In other words, you'll get the most value out of this if you're really set on achieving a career and being inspired and motivated by your personal reasons. Only you can make this work for you - the bootcamp is there to help launch you to the right trajectory.

Additional feedback: I'd say that while the admin and support team have been great, there were times when confusing answers were given if I needed help with something (outside the curriculum). Some improvements in communication and providing accurate details of Springboard's policies would be great for future students.

That and everything else being said, I had a great time as a student here. I found lots of great value in the lessons taught and their guidance on how an engineer should think and operate, networking advice, community support, and much more! Currently ready to embark on a new career, I hope learning with Springboard will be worth something to you!
