"I love tripleten and have thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience."
The pros of the program are the job guarantee, the great tutors available daily, the clarity of the class lessons and chapters, and they even provide you with a student success manager to work with you and keep you on track! I honestly have no complaints... Read More

"Extremely Informative, Great Learning Curve"
I started the Data Science program in January 2024 and it has been a very rewarding experience every step of the way. The program includes basic computer literacy programs and provides an almost limitless sandbox of practice labs to ensure students graduate... Read More
I had initial issues with the program as it was described to me as the most difficult offered by TripleTen, and now in the last third of the bootcamp I agree. However, the preceding lessons have equipped me with all the tools and tips that I require. The program starts with basic Python and Statistics courses both of which left me wanting more hands on coding experience. The middle third of the program definitely delivered that request with the basics of Machine Learning and just after that part of the course I feel prepared enough to qualify for positions in the Data Science field.

"Tutors are available to answer questions"
After getting furloughed, at my current job, I decided to learn some new skills, now that I'd have more free time. I chose the Data Science path, with TripleTen, because I just finished up a 35-week DS track at another online bootcamp, but I could not... Read More
I took the quiz, on the TripleTen site, and it suggested that my path should be Data Science. Since that is what I was interested in, I found it interesting that the quiz confirmed that. I put in my phone number, and when someone called me, I was surprised that the person was so professional. There was no high pressure sales at all. I just told him my story, of how I'd been wanting to be a programmer for so many years, and could not find the path, while also trying to work fulltime. After he was so patient, listening to my story, he suggested that I could sign up for a 2 week trial period, for $100. I said yes. I got my login, and I started studying immediately. I studied all night, then woke up the next day and studied all day again. Since I had a previous bootcamp to compare this to, I had a good sense of whether or not this was going to be too easy for me, or a good challenge.
When deciding whether or not to sign up, I put together a list of pros and cons, and the only con on the list was whether or not I could afford the tuition. But, since TripleTen guarantees you'll get a job, in the field that you studied, I figured that with my first few paychecks, I'd get my money back fast.
I was surprised that already, on day one, I was learning new things that I didn't learn in the other bootcamp. I called back the sales rep (I can't remember his actual title), the next day, and said that I decided that I wanted to do the full course. I didn't need 13 more days to decide. So, I ended up starting with my "cohort" 3 days later. I paid my tuition. And, I was pretty impressed, without even asking for it, TripleTen refunded me my original $100 fee for the trial.
TripleTen assigns you a Success Manager, who is great at making sure that you stay on track, and motivating you when you have a bad day, or making phone calls, to get you a free private one-on-one tutoring slot, if the need arises. There are bi-weekly video calls with my Success Manager. TripleTen also assigns you a Career Counselor when you get very close to the end of the track. This person looks at your resume, suggests fixes, and hopefully is able to help get your an "externship", so that you have real life programming experience, on your resume, before graduating from the program. I think it's this boost that is the reason their students are so successful at getting jobs in the field. The percentage of graduates who get a job in the field is astronomically high; 87%. Keep in mind, that most of the students have never had jobs in the tech industry before coming to TripleTen, so that's really pretty impressive that they have such good outcomes, taking absolute beginners, and then producing programmers in 8 months.
They have a lot more to offer than the first DS bootcamp that I went to. For example: TripleTen has mock interviews, near the end of the track, with actual programmers who know how to ask technical questions, they have real people reviewing your big projects, and giving lots of comments throughout the project, on how to make your code and logic better. There are always a few tutors available, at almost any hour, to answer specific questions on how to fix a line, or section, of code, and this help comes in the form of posting a question in Discord chat, or going to a Zoom, or Discord, video chat, or just voice chat for those days when you didn't brush your hair or put on makeup. For the rare times that a tutor is not available, there's a robot in the chat that does a pretty good job answering coding questions. The robot is not as good as the tutors. The tutors monitor the Discord chat channels, constantly, to make sure that students got their questions answered. The wait time, to get a tutor is usually less than 5 minutes. I'm pretty impressed with how much help there is, and how fast they are to respond, and how well they always can answer the questions so patiently. With the voice or video chat calls, there might be other students there, too, usually one or two, so they can learn new stuff when they hear your questions, and how it was solved, and vice versa. The students and tutors are all so helpful, positive, and everyone is happy to help answer questions.
Although I started with a "cohort", I don't actually know them. There's a chat channel for "casual" chat, but I don't really go there. I just code. If you're interested in chatting with other students, that's totally an option, plus people can post their LinkdIn links there, so there is the possibility of networking, too. I myself have not done that yet. I'm 2 months in to an 8 month track.
It's a go at your own pace school. Some people have full time jobs. Some do not. I'm lucky, in that I can code all day long. I'm on Sprint 5, and I think that there are 17 Sprints, plus some extras that are not mandatory.
I originally intended to be a computer programmer, way back in 1992. I went to night school for Computer Programming. Graduated in 1994.. But never found a job as a programmer. That was back when there were almost no women programmers, so I never did get a company to take a chance on me, as a programmer. I went in to Software QA instead. Times have changed. There are so many women programmers now. I chose TripleTen, because they guarantee a job in your field. I'm so excited to know that this time I'm actually going to get a job as a programmer (Data Scientist). It's very exciting because I've wanted this for so many years.
I was told that most graduates get remote programming jobs, which is exactly what I'm hoping for. I'm hoping that I can incorporate traveling while coding, while getting paid to travel and code.
I've already decided, that maybe next year, I'm gonna take their new Cyber Security program, and boost my resume further.
Do something for you. Fill out that quiz. See where it takes you. :)

"Excellent program to get you started in tech"

Pros:
Self-Paced Learning: The course structure accommodates various learning speeds, making it easier to absorb the material thoroughly.
Accountability through Success Managers: The presence of dedicated success managers is a great support system. They help keep you accountable for your projects and deadlines while ensuring the learning experience remains manageable and not overly stressful.
Rich Educational Content: The curriculum is comprehensive and provides hands-on experience in QA engineering, which is crucial for practical knowledge.
The almost mandatory externship experience is the selling point. Upon graduation, you are enrolled in an externship that gives you more hands-on experience so that you are ready for the job.
Cons:
Negative Atmosphere in Discord Channel: One downside is the somewhat toxic environment in the Discord channel, where some participants frequently express their frustrations about job hunting. This negativity can be discouraging for those trying to maintain a positive mindset.
Limited Networking Support: While the course provides excellent educational resources, additional networking opportunities with industry professionals could enhance the overall experience and job placement success.
In summary, the QA Engineering Course at TripleTen is a great option for those looking for flexible, supportive learning, but it could benefit from addressing the negativity present in the community.
