I've been a student of Ubiqum Code Academy in Amsterdam since the middle of October 2018, learning Java and Web Development for 6 months.

This course is a project-based one where we actually "simulate" the flow of a workplace.
Although our mentors are there for us everyday to provide immediate help, the goal is to acquire a solution-focused mentality by trying to solve all coding problems by ourselves.
A very pragmatic and useful approach to become a successful developer in the long run.
I can honestly recommend this bootcamp to anyone who is considering to pursue a career within IT development.

Even without experience or background knowledge you can join this course. I enjoy the course and learn a lot in short time due to the fact that the course is very practical, hands-on. This means that you do a lot of coding with great support of your mentors.... Read More Further like in real life your tasks are (small) projects with deadlines. It is not like the traditional learning methods because you learn by doing. Its hard especially if you have no knowledge at all, but the mentors are there to help with any doubts and show the guideline you have to follow. I recommend it. I learned many things about what does a data analyst do, and how does he do it, but I lacked the "work as a data analyst" part, which... Read More is improving a lot with project oriented tasks at Ubiqum.
Mentor support is great, although I would like to have more spikes to work on the basic concepts in order to be able to advance to most difficult and interesting stuff quicker.
I like very much the way the projects (plan of attack...) are presented, but the one at energy consumption (time series) could be improved, as it looks outdated and does not help much as a guide. That is just my opinion, could be very different for someone else.

Another thing to improve is the number of mentors available. There are many students for just a couple of or 3 mentors. Also, getting a calendy is difficult for this reason.

I think it is a great place with many resources to learn to work as a data analyst, which is the most important thing here. It could improve in some things but overall I think it is great!!

I am Junior web developer and I am here to tell you that I am currently finishing an intensive 6 month web development training at Ubiqum Code Academy. The technologies that I have learned and which I am developing are html5, css3, javascript, frameworks... Read More like vue.js and react.js. In the backend part I worked with Node.js and in the database with Mongodb.
I am currently developing a web application similar to trivago.es called mytinerary which is a platform aimed at finding tourist destinations, making reservations, sharing experiences, etc. The technology that I am using is MERN (Mongodb, Express, React.js and Node.js) under the Agile methodology.
I have developed several projects as a mobile web app. In general terms, I am pleased with the resources you have given me.

I took a lot of time revising the coding bootcamp market and in the I went with Ubiqum for the Data Analytics course, which turned out to be a great decision.
I believe, if you have no prior coding experience, you cannot learn one or more new coding languages... Read More in less than 3-4 months and Ubiqum is hence a good choice with its 4.5 months course duration.
Ubiqum accordingly offers a great value for money. The learning by doing methodology is the only methodology that works for learning how to code, so that is another plus.
Mentorship is good, however still can be improved and I know they are working on it.
