It's challenging learning all that you do here, but there always people/mentor/students willing to help you. Or just talk in general.

Overall WOZ-U Brittany Stuart, Jesenia and a few others have been a really great help!

The program is designed to teach you how to think like a programmer and how to learn. There's a LOT of content and although it is impossible to master it all in the 33 week duration, what you gain is a solid introduction to full stack development and... A bootcamp can't teach you everything (you CAN'T know everything- even senior level developers don't!) but I will say that this program teaches you how TO BE a software developer. It's not about memorizing syntax or skimming through the lessons as fast as you can. The assignments and final projects are challenging and you have to utilize all the resources you can to be successful. The workshops are awesome, the instructors are top-notch and the mentors make such a difference in your learning.

After completing the program, it's just the beginning of your coding journey! There are plenty of success stories of graduates being hired in the industry (myself included). I continue to learn more everyday thanks to Woz U.

Then, after helping hundreds of students change their life I decieded it was my turn to take a risk and take the courses. I quite as a counselor and started as a student.
I've been at my job for a month now and its great. I'm at a place I never thought I'd ever be at.
Is Woz U perfect. No.
Do they work hard to make it happen for you. Yes.
Will it be the toughest education experience you ever faced. Probably so.
Will you get a job. There are no guarantees in life but the odds are in your favor.

I attended sci’s Boot camp Powered by WOZ U. I thought it was going to be easy because I am a technology hobbyist. Hahaha. I was wrong. It was much harder then i thought. It was 33 weeks of 18 hours a week. It took me a bit longer because i failed a few... Read More courses and had to repeat them. At no cost! I learned so much. Honestly by mentors saved me as i wouldn’t have finished if they didn’t bug me randomly and were there when i needed it. Also my project instructor Ammon was awesome.

I have had my ups and downs with the program here at Woz U. In the beginning I had a mentor/ instructor who were very involved with my education. The instructor held daily workshops and really made me feel included. As time progressed and I moved further... Read More into coding, it began to get a little challenging... the help that I received from my new mentor wasn't as helpful... it felt more like I was being fed the answers, and that the mentor didn't have enough time for me. My instructor wasn't posting any videos on my lessons, and I had to look for outdated videos.. When the instructor did decide to post a video, the lessons had already been turned in. I do love the support I receive from fellow classmates, as well as other mentors. It is honestly a team effort here. I do not know if they require more help due to the student to mentor/instructor ratio... but I believe if they hired on more help the program would be more successful. I am already receiving help with career services, and he is doing my best to make sure I succeed, and for that I am very thankful...plus he tends to give really great advice!!!

I originally signed up with Woz for full stack development with a focus on Ruby on Rails. My biggest problem with Woz is that I signed up for Ruby but I was placed unknowingly into Javascript with no consent on my end or notification. The mentors and/or... Read More other staff i spoke with about this during my time essentially told me to shove it when I approached them regarding this issue. The content was decent. I felt that they threw the code at us not caring if we understood what was going on. I feel like I spent 33+ weeks to learn how to code and spent 7+ grand on it when googling would have been better. Other than weekly meetings with your mentor it was like pulling teeth to get mentors help when i started. Now this did improve towards the end with Woz tenfold. Another problem I had was they referenced wikipedia multiple times. It seemed like the content was written with 1 persons learning style in mind. I also graduated with a 3.7 gpa? somewhere around there and I can tell you right now I am not anywhere close to being a professional dev as I didn't retain as much as the information as I really felt i should have.
If i was given the chance to go back I would have taken the free alternative of freecodecamp over anything woz has to offer. That being said I do think they have the potential to be the best paid code camp out there. There just has to be tweeks from top to bottom.

This is not anything other than the same old school with the same old lame and expensive program but re-branded as Woz U. Wozniak has nothing to do with the school. It is an expensive ripoff. You can get the same education by reading any number of books... Read More on coding for a tiny fraction of the cost of their tuition. I happen to know for a fact that the positive reviews on here are phony, written by people employed by the company. This school is run by bullsh*t artists and is a con. Don't fall for it!
