How Thinkful Correctly Predicted the Oscars
By:The clock was nearing midnight on the East Coast. Legendary actors Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway walked onto the stage for what they hoped would be a bit of redemption. Just one year before, they famously announced "La La Land" to be the winner of Academy Award for 'Best Picture' only for chaos to break out two minutes later. They read through the nominees, opened the sealed envelope, and after carefully inspecting its contents, pronounced "Shape of Water" as the winner for 2018. Meanwhile, just a few miles away from the Kodak Theatre, staff members at Thinkful's Los Angeles coding bootcamp breathed a huge sigh of relief. We had correctly predicted the Oscars.
