The Tech Academy Takes Denver

With Denver slated to be one of the country's next tech hubs, The Tech Academy is joining the Mile-High City tech scene and opening a third campus in Denver, Colorado.

Employment in Denver's software and IT industry grew 32% in the last five years according to the Denver Business Journal, outpacing the nationwide average, and making it one of the top 10 major US cities for highest concentration of software and IT workers. Colorado is also getting attention from big tech companies like Google, Gusto, and Stack Overflow which have opened offices in the state.

With the city's booming tech industry and Colorado boasting one of the nation's lowest unemployment rates, Denver is the perfect place to begin your tech career with training from bootcamps like The Tech Academy.

What The Tech Academy Denver Offers:

The Tech Academy Denver will follow the same model and provide access to the same curriculum as the other two Tech Academy locations. This includes open enrollment so students can start at any time, a self-paced program allowing students to advance at their own speed, and flexible study scheduling options.

The Tech Academy takes a "bottom-up" approach to training, starting with the basics and advancing from there, so no technical background or experience is required. The program also covers multiple programming languages, which you can learn more about here.

Denver students will have access to Tech Academy remote instructors when studying during off-hours or weekends, and like all students, finish the program with The Tech Academy's outstanding job placement training.

The Tech Academy co-founder Jack Stanley answered some questions about the newest campus:

The Tech Academy already has two campuses in Portland and Seattle. Why did you decide on Denver for the third location?

Denver actually shares many similar characteristics to Portland and Seattle. More importantly, it's one of the fastest growing tech cities in America.

There is a large demand for technology workers in Denver. Some of our Portland graduates have actually landed jobs there.

Due to the fact that Denver is relatively close to our other campuses and the booming tech industry there, we decided to make it the home of our newest Tech Academy campus. We are big fans of the city!

What can Denver students expect at this new campus? Will Denver students have the same experience as those in Portland and Seattle?

Students can expect the same experience and same quality of service that any other campus provides. The Tech Academy Denver was set up by our Co-Founder, Jack Stanley, and other experienced Tech Academy employees, to ensure Tech Academy standards were put in place from the very beginning. All the furniture and equipment is brand-new and the campus is newly renovated.

We followed our Seattle model (which has exceeded expectations and been extremely successful) to the letter so that Denver students receive the same high-level training.

Who will be overseeing the Denver campus? Tell us a little bit about the instructor and their experience with The Tech Academy.

The day to day operations of Tech Academy Denver will be run by Cole Dixon as Dean of Tech Academy Denver. Cole worked at the Portland campus as our Lead Instructor for over a year. Cole relocated to Denver and was working as a software developer, and we are happy to welcome him back to the team with even more experience under his belt. He is well-versed in the day-to-day operations of our school and well-equipped to ensure a high standard is maintained.

We additionally perform regular quality inspections wherein top executives from our headquarters in Portland visit to ensure the campus is rolling and students are happy.

When is The Tech Academy Denver opening?

The first wave of classes start July 16, 2018, and continue on from there! Students can sign up now!

We cannot say enough good things about the city of Denver. It is a beautiful place with good people. We are very excited to contribute to the Mile-High City's technological growth!
