I am absolutely amazed with this Bootcamp! I started out as a remote part-time student and loved the program. I switched into the full-time course October 2017 and have had no regrets. The part-time course was great but I only started part-time because... Read More of my family's situation at the time. Dane from admissions knew that I really wanted to do full-time and was so honest and understanding to my needs. I really appreciate how much information he was willing to go over with me just to make sure that I was comfortable with my decision. Dane and I talked and he reassured me that the full-time class could work around my kids schedule and it really has.

Andrew has been amazing. Not only he is a good person and understanding of family needs but he is an amazing instructor. I have a bachelor's degree in a different field and if my intro to computer programming course instructor would have had half the knowledge and skills that Andrew Wold has I probably would've continued studying programming in college. Andrew makes learning software development easy. His explanations are broken down and so detailed that it just makes sense. If he ever teaches any other courses I will definitely be signing up! I have to give a shout out to one of the TA's also Benjamin is awesome. He is extremely knowledgable and always happy to help. He makes asking for help at 10 pm easy. As a remote student feeling comfortable asking for help is really important. He's one of my favorite go to programmers because he knows his stuff.

Overall I love this program and I am so happy to be enrolled in this school. I still have two months to go but I know they're going to be amazing. My level of understanding of of all things software development is amazing to me right now. I'm surprised by how much someone can learn with the right curriculum and instructors. A big thanks to Bottega Tech and Dane, Andrew, and Ben. I recommend Bottega Tech to anyone looking for a great Fullstack Software Development school.

I have never done anything with coding before. Making a website visually appealing to the user on the front end has been fun to experience, and invites a twist of your own creativity. I am looking forward to implementing new ideas that are coming to mind.... Read More Tying the guts together on the back end has been quite revealing. Seeing how things works together for a webpage are quite amazing. It has been great to have all of this material presented, and have instructors that can both answer questions and give examples that work. Stumbling along the path forward is inevitable, but troubleshooting your own code, making fixes, and getting support when needed has been very reassuring. It's a good group of people, and the environment of sharing knowledge is very open. This has been a great move for me in pursuit of changing careers. I am looking forward to becoming more a part of this community.

I'm not saying at all that a degree is worthless or unnecessary because I really want to get a BA but this course gives me the opportunity to work and do school at a slower pace.

Bottega is quite unique in that they were a dev shop first (Slate Development) that knew they could improve the bootcamp model especially since they were a company already hiring in part from the bootcamps in place already. They are continuing to refine... Read More and update their content for the changing and competitive landscape of software and web development. The curriculum is awesome and thoughtfully laid out and prepared. The staff is focused on your individual success and growth and provide tons of support. It is a great atmosphere and incredible to be across the hall and rub shoulders with and learn from the dev team working on live projects! ...and yes, there are tons of snacks and a ping pong table :D

I have learned so much in so little amount of time. It is definitely fast pace and you have to stay on top of the curriculum. The instructor/assistant are very helpful and always there if we have questions. The days are long, sitting in front of the computer... Read More for hours, but we are able to take breaks when needed. The homework is purposeful and is always something that we went over that day, so the information sticks in your brain. I would recommend to take the extra step and rewatch the video tutorials of that day or week when you have the time, even better if you watch them the day before so you have an idea of what you will be doing. When following along with the videos, I would usually just focus on getting the code/each step of the process correct instead of understanding and listening to the content being taught. Overall, I think the program is great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
