Established in early 2011 as an innovative community in New York City for entrepreneurs and startup companies, General Assembly is an educational institution that transforms thinkers into creators through education in technology, business and design at over 25 campuses across four continents.
During the 2020 hiring shutdown, GA's students, instructors, and career coaches never lost focus, and the KPMG-validated numbers in their Outcomes report reflect it. *For students who graduated in 2020 — the peak of the pandemic — 74.4% of those who participated in GA's full-time Career Services program landed jobs within six months of graduation. General Assembly is proud of their grads + teams' relentless dedication and to see those numbers rising. "100% worth it if you're willing to put in the effort to be successful."
I loved my experience at General Assembly. Every step of the way was well thought-out--I always felt taken care of by the staff on every team. Some would argue the price is steep, but the level-up in my life that GA provided was genuinely priceless. The... Read More

"GA was the best chance I had to get a UX job!"
I think taking the UXDI program through GA was the best way for me to get a job in UX. I needed the discipline and accountability and my instructor, Shari, was amazing. The cons was that I felt like it wasn't strict enough or hard enough on its students.... Read More

"Great Decision if You’re Willing to Work Hard"
The amount of knowledge you learn in this program is incredible. It’s A LOT of work - late nights most nights and many early mornings. Think of it as 12-weeks of college finals. You’ll never quite feel adequate, but that’s just imposter syndrome that... Read More

"Great program for those who are intrinsically motived but want a bit of guidance and structure."
Make no mistake that this immersive will challenge you—it's a major time and financial commitment—but if you're motivated and up to the task it's worth it. I'd say a large part of what you'll get out of this program is contingent upon what you're willing... Read More

"Great program to kickstart your engineering career—but you have to do the work!"
Before I go into detail, I want to make it clear that this is a 12-week course. You can't learn everything in 12 weeks. You should go into this knowing that you're going to pull all-nighters, cry, and become frustrated—but you have tons of support and... Read More
