What stood out fpor me was the quality of the mentorship. Experienced data scientists guided us through case studies drawn from their work in finance, e-commerce, health, transportation and other sectors. The practical projects and hackathon also helped me build confidence in the skills that I developed.

This is not an “easy” program — it’s fast-paced, challenging, and requires commitment. The responsive program support team, well-designed resources, great mentors and tutors who are working in the industry plus the cutting-edge MIT IDSS faculty, made it all worth it. I am now applying what I learned to solve real-world problems.

I discovered the program through an online advertisement. At first, I was skeptical about its relevance to my field and even skipped the pre-program modules. From that moment, I was fully committed.

Unfortunately, just as we began the module on ensemble techniques, I fell seriously ill and was hospitalized for several weeks. Recovery took months, and I had to pause the program. I assumed that marked the end of my journey.

To my surprise, I was later informed that I could resume the program whenever I was ready. I rejoined with the November Cohort and am thrilled to now be completing the program.
