"Learned storytelling with data"
Finishing up the Applied AI and Data Science program with Great Learning and MIT Professional Education has been a massive journey. Looking back on the last 6 months, it’s been one of the most challenging yet rewarding things I’ve tackled.
> The Curriculum... Read More
The course load is seriously detailed. For someone coming in without a deep background in data science, the modules can feel a bit overwhelming at first glance. However, the way the content is structured actually makes sense. The live lectures lay the groundwork, and the tutorials and practice content do a great job of reinforcing those concepts. I found the hands-on practice was what really helped the info stick.
> The Wins (Pros)
- Top-Tier Faculty: Having lectures from MIT faculty was a standout. The sessions were engaging and stayed relevant to how AI is actually being used today, rather than just being stuck in theory.
- Solid Support: The program coordinators were brilliant. They were genuinely considerate and always there to help navigate the logistics of the course. Responses were generally quick, considering the time zone differences.
Clarity: Despite the complexity of the topics, the curriculum was clear enough to follow if you put in the time.
> The Challenges (Cons)
The biggest hurdle for me was the time zone difference. Being outside North America, I initially thought I had to attend every live session to avoid being penalised on attendance. This led to a lot of extremely early mornings—sitting through lectures at 1:30 AM to 3:30 AM was pretty brutal. I eventually realised that watching the recordings also counted toward my attendance, but by then, I’d already lost a fair bit of sleep! I will say the opportunity to ask questions in real time is probably worthwhile tradeoff in some cases.
> Final Verdict
If you’re keen to dive into AI, this program is excellent, but my advice for future students in non-North America-friendly time zone is to lean on those recordings early on. It’s a steep learning curve, but the support and the quality of the MIT teaching make it well worth the effort.

"MIT No-Code AI via Great Learning — A Genuine Review"
I’ll be upfront: I know how this looks. A glowing review with nothing negative? I’d have been skeptical too. But here I am, a month from graduation, and I keep finding myself in quiet moments thinking — this is actually one of the few things I’ve been... Read More
I’m a busy business owner, not a tech expert. Just a lifelong learner. And this course fit my life without cutting corners. The curriculum is structured enough to hold you accountable but flexible enough that you can run it alongside a full schedule. If you’re between roles and want to go deep? The optional content alone could keep you busy for a year — I actually asked yesterday about keeping access after graduation for that reason.
The instructors are the real differentiator. Seasoned professors who make complex material digestible, and live calls where your questions get real answers backed by real experience. That kind of access, at this price point, genuinely does not exist elsewhere. I’ve seen other programs charge double for half the substance.
The platform isn’t perfect — there are minor flaws — but what stood out to me early on was knowing the Great Learning team was already aware and working on it. That feeling hasn’t left.
If you’re on the fence, I get it. Just know this review isn’t incentivized. I’m writing it because it’s almost never that I’m this satisfied with something — and that’s worth saying out loud.

What made this journey especially meaningful was the human support behind it. During a difficult personal period, the program managers, especially Tripti and Himanshu, supported me with remarkable kindness, patience, encouragement, and consistency. They helped me stay grounded, return to work, and keep moving forward when that felt very hard. I genuinely believe I would not have completed the course without their motivation and support.
If I had to mention one challenge, it is that the program is demanding, especially when life becomes difficult and dealing with multiple priorities. But that challenge is also part of its value. It pushes you to grow. I am sincerely grateful to everyone involved, and I will carry both the learning and the kindness I received here with me.

The program is quite intensive, especially for working professionals, and a few modules could benefit from a bit more time for deeper exploration. However, this also reflects the rigor and depth of the program.
Overall, I would highly recommend it to anyone serious about building strong, practical skills in AI and data science.
