Today, the coding school and Austin tech staple MakerSquare announced that it had finalized an agreement for acquisition by the San Francisco-based program Hack Reactor, pending regulatory approval.
"Hack Reactor wants to create a network of high-performing schools focused on student outcome," explained MakerSquare co-founder Harsh Patel in a blog post. "They wanted to team up to tackle a larger goal: to offer students an excellent tech education that makes them highly employable."
When SwitchUp spoke to Patel last year, he noted that he and his team sought to "essentially create the school we wished existed for ourselves."
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
