Do not fall for the fake reviews about Hyperion dev. Do proper research before signing up to this terrible bootcamp. You will waste a lot of money like I did, which I am deeply regretting now. If you want to see real reviews then just search them on reddit... Read More and you will really get the gist of it. It seems like they have payed people to write good reviews about them and that they block, silence or threaten anyone who writes negative reviews about them. Go and check out Trust pilot and you will see that they have flagged a lot of reviews.. God forbid anyone says anything bad about them or exposes the truth about them.. There is a massive lack of staff it seems so response rate is very slow and support seems non-existent when it is urgent. I have waited up to three weeks to get responses from the student support department, to the point where I had to tag the staff on a Discord group chat to get their attention. The course content somehow seems incomplete as most tasks (especially the capstone projects) do not relate to what has been learned in the 'pdfs'. Also shocking that it is a supposed tech company but they don't even have a proper student dashboard where one can obtain the course material. They basically give you a Dropbox link where you can download pdf files which are highly superficial level. You can teach yourself more from the internet (and for free), and you will get more knowledge than what you can ever get in their incomplete 'pdf' course work. They boast that you will be career ready after taking their bootcamps and almost promise that you will get a job after completing it but most of the student job success is because they hire past students the be teachers and mentors for the next year.

There exists now a huge community of students that are incredibly disillusioned with Hyperiondev. The course is of extremely poor quality, almost no interactivity, extremely limited content and many topics that are advertised are not taught. Hyperiondev... Read More has been silencing students who speak out by kicking them off the course unfairly. On other websites it seems they have been leaving themselves lots of good reviews. If you go on Trustpilot, go on company info, and you can see: over 75% of reviews that they took down, were reinstated by Trustpilot for NOT actually breaking community guidelines.

The course is well structured with relevant content available to better skill us students with current trends in the jobs market. although the support team took some time to respond, once they did they provided the help needed and they were very understanding... The course offering is a great method but the issue is the current electricity crisis that has led to multiple requests for extensions from me as a student along with multiple other factors. The course creates a lot of opportunities and has skilled me to better navigate series of opportunities around Tech.

My experience with HyperionDev's bootcamp was extremely disappointing. Despite putting in a lot of effort, the course content was subpar, with outdated and error-ridden PDF documents. What's worse is that HyperionDev is receiving tax-payers' money for a program that fails to deliver quality education. The CEO's behavior was unprofessional, with students being verbally bullied and banned from Discord for simply asking questions. Now, only 50% or less of the coursework is needed to pass the WHOLE bootcamp! The other more tough coursework are optional! However, students are warned that marking these optional tasks may take a long time, with feedback possibly taking months. I had high hopes for the bootcamp to change my career, but it turned out to be a waste of 3-4 months of my life. Therefore, I strongly advise anyone to avoid this company.

I did the UK Government-funded bootcamp in Web Dev, which wasn't full-stack. Positives: - the lecturer we had - meeting other students who were helpful and supportive (hands down the best thing about the course, which is probably why they removed the... Negatives: - no learning environment or platform: it's just a Dropbox of pdfs and a lot of them aren't a great quality (confusingly written, especially what you're meant to do for the tasks, and lots of mistakes or out of date info) - really hard to get the 1:1 support that's promised - the support systems kept changing and sometimes you had to wait weeks for problems to be solved or to receive clarification - lots of automated emails were sent incorrectly - communication to students from some of the top people at the company was really bad - human code reviews were very inconsistent and comments were copied and pasted sometimes (with wrong names and wrong task details) - the Discord server had channels removed very suddenly so students were left with nowhere to talk - confusing info about how to get the certificate (seems you have to get a job to get the certificate, which makes little sense) - even less info about how to get a certificate that's got a university name on it (still not a lot of clarity about this) - advertised university partners weren't even confirmed at the start of the course - internet at HypDev headquarters is so bad that some lectures got abandoned halfway through (this happened about twice) and mentor calls were interrupted for ages when they're already really short - some mentors couldn't help (didn't seem to have enough knowledge) - a week got taken off the length of the course (made it tricky to finish, and some people didn't because they've got less time than they thought) - doesn't actually prepare you for a job - no guaranteed interview like you're told there is - right at the end, people who hadn't finished the course suddenly heard they'd completed it because a majority of the tasks were suddenly made "optional" - students are very, very unhappy about this - students were banned from forums for asking legitimate questions - students were disenrolled and given no reason or evidence for it. Avoid this course! You shouldn't take it for free - you definitely shouldn't pay for it! I've chatted to students who started the paid course before any government bootcamps started. They confirm that many of the issues above were already there before they took on hundreds of UK students.

I have had a good experience studying data science with HyperionDev. I chose the 6 month part time online option as it made the most sense while working full time. The first two levels are quite straightforward as the course material is very thorough in teaching you the basics. Mentors mark tasks quickly and give individualized feedback which is greatly appreciated. The third level - Machine Learning, is quite a bit tougher as the tasks are a little more taxing. However, as a student, you can book a call with a mentor to go over the difficulties you are facing within the tasks. Their assistance is invaluable in helping you to understand the content. HyperionDev was also very accommodating to me when I was unable to complete all the tasks within 6 months due to the birth of my son - they provided course extensions without me having to pay extra for the extension.
