They kick you out when your sick and cant follow classes for the rest of the week. I got sick on the first week sadly. I got the stomach flu and couldn't follow classes. I asked to turn it in the weekend or at the 2 weeks we were getting free, because... Read More I thought like normal schooling you would get a chance to turn it in if sick. They didn't let me turn anything in and said I couldn't continue anymore. They asked me to join again in August but I couldn't become I had normal schooling . I've lost my will and motivation to code and will be taking a different career path.

Just because you pay that doesn't mean that you will graduate. You have to pass all the assessments and satisfy some fundamental knowledge. Only 50% of my class could graduate but the ones that graduated all got a job within a month! Heads up for prospect students: You can be accepted to academy without coding knowledge(that's the point of career switch) but once you are accepted you have to study very hard before you start the academy. You have to prepare for the classes. It is because there is too little time but a lot to learn. So if you leave everything until the classes start, it is very likely that you will not understand half of the topics which will lead you to fail. You want a new job, you have to work hard! Codaisseur is the good place to help you!

It's amazing that Codaisseur provides the opportunity to change your career in such a short period of time. From the time I started the academy to when I accepted a job - it was exactly 3 months. The course was well-organized, teachers knowledgeable and... Read More helpful, and course materials were clear and easy-to-use. Also the Career Accelerator portion of the academy (interview prep, CV, LinkedIn and Job search assistance) was an additional help to prepare me for finding and landing a job. But make no mistake, the academy is intensive and not everyone that starts the program will complete it. My best advice would be to learn some basic coding on your own (html, javascript, css) before starting the program. I went from being a personal trainer to a full-stack developer in 3 months. Overall, no regrets!

After I graduate, I was with a job offer (in 3 weeks) and with two processes in the final stage, and 5 weeks after, I was started my first job as a developer. Together with it, I was leaving the school with amazing friends (colleagues and from staff, also). And it is speechless! The course was very intense and required a lot of dedication. The content taught is excellent, not only teaching how JavaScript is but also developing the logic behind it and this is important for the transfer of what you learn in this Bootcamp to your professional life, especially if you are going to work with a different language (which is my case!). The job support was excellent, V., my 'career coach' that guided me in this process, was kind and super concerned (even after I got hired) about I start in a good company, that I would fit well and be happy. Also, the whole staff is amazing (teachers, HR, management, etc), and the most important: they care about the whole well-being, from performance to the emotional state of the student.

Codaisseur's Fullstack Javascript Academy is definitely the most challenging course I have ever taken. However, I really enjoyed it and it was a great decision because it helped me make a career switch and also because I met wonderful people on the way.... Read More I took this course in October 2021 and I felt very supported by my teachers and everybody at Codaisseur. The 2-months academy is certainly very intense, and you have to put a lot of effort to complete it, but also, the teachers and teachers assistants are really great and do their best to help you and teach you. Once I finished the course, my career coach at Codaisseur really helped me through the process of getting a job and after only one month, I was hired. My classmates were hired very fast as well.

When I decided to study at codaisseur 2 years ago, they advertised their program as "No experience or previous knowledge needed, in 10 weeks become a software engineer". And this is a huge lie. I had no experience in coding before joining the bootcamp,... Read More but I have always been quite tech-savvy. And there I was, just on the first day we learned about git, the terminal, HTML and CSS. All in the span of 8 hours. How would anyone expect somebody with "no previous coding knowledge" to get familiar with all these 4 topics in just one day? The second day we were already busy with javascript, no need to say I was falling behind the program from the first day and that there was a huge gap of knowledge. At the end of the second week we were already busy with React. I did my university years working full time at the same time, and that was not half stressfull as were these weeks at Codaisseur. An insane amount of information is thrown at you, with no time to process it and to properly learn. Learning, especially in coding, must be a process of changing your way of thinking and to "mold" your head. Not to type code without really understanding what you are doing. I decided to stop the bootcamp on the third week. In the exit interview I mentioned what I just wrote referring to the "no experience needed", to which they answered "no experience needed is very subjective", no, my friends, no experience is no experience, period.   I felt like a failure. It took me one year to gather the motivation again to start learning coding, and this time I did it on my own, with Udemy courses and online resources, learning at my own path and really letting the new information sink in and changing my way of thinking code-wise. Now I am working as a junior developer. After doing the online courses I could see the value of the Codaisseur program, but this was because I already had some knowledge about it. And to be honest, if you already feel comfortable with coding, I wouldn't say the program is worth going into debt for it. Just keep learning on your own. Summarizing: + Good teachers - Terrible structure of the program, rushing to learn and you end up learning nothing and hating code before knowing what is actually code - Misleading marketing strategies, or in other words, lying strategies.
