I was at first a bit hesitant to share my bad experience at Codaisseur. However, since they were emailing their students to write reviews as a result of revenue loss due to a number of bad reviews coming in, I feel like I also should speak up. Maybe instead... Read More of trying to excuse yourself for all sort of reasons, focus on improving the quality instead? (I still see persistent issues in bad reviews that kept coming up again and again). I believe in the past, Codaisseur used to grow up organically with quality teachers and small-size classes. But during my time studying on-site, I started to notice that, despite not having enough teachers to really pay attention to students and answer their questions, Codaisseur still pushed more classes and received more students in a very, industrial way. I recalled so many days where we had projects for practice and it was impossible to find a teacher to help. When you started to pay back €11,520, you wondered if it was worth the money. What made me feel like the whole deal Codaisseur offers is a scam, is when you realised that, you have to pay back the whole amount of tuition fee even though you lose your job after the first month. In the contract, they say the trial period is one day. Now with some common sense, how come a company can see you as a real fit in one day? In fact, Codaisseur knows well that almost (if not all) contracts will include one-month probation. If you think that there's no way the company will let you go after one month, think twice. Because once it happens, you will learn it hard by having to pay back 11k yourself. Codaisseur does allow their students to pause the payment for a maximum of 3 months, but trust me, trying to find a job within three months is NOT easy. I remember waking up every day feeling like a death penalty hanging because of such a huge debt and yet still having to focus and try so hard to find another job. It was so much pain of an experience that I wish no one would have to experience it again.

Mine was the first class to be taught fully on remote, therefore the start was postponed by 20 days to let the academy regroup and prepare, and I believe that they did a very good job. Our main communication channels were on Slack and Discord, and live... Read More lectures were held via either Discord or Zoom, with screen-sharing. We had two main assessments which failing either meant not being able to progress in the lessons, but without any obligation to pay tuition costs (as per contract, "No Cure No Pay" type), but with the possibility of a retry if over a minimum mark; we also had a final assessment at the very end, on our final portfolio project, a group project, and after that, a week of Job Accelerator. The teachers are all very qualified and the curriculum is beginner-friendly, complete and up to date, and mentioning the human aspect might seem a bit off-topic, but as we all know the imposter syndrome can be a huge issue, especially if you're a total beginner, and during the pandemic the feeling of isolation can be overwhelming, especially for expats who don't have any family or friends around - like it was for me, since I moved specifically to attend Codaisseur. Not only the teachers, but all the advisors and staff are very friendly and warm people, and I found nothing but a welcoming and supportive environment, either about becoming a developer and the challenges and self-doubt many students face, or the isolation and social deprivation due to the pandemic. At the end of every week (or every other week) we'd get a survey in which to anonymously assess and give feedback on how we were doing (not just limited to the course technically, but emotionally too), how the teachers were doing and how they could improve their service.

Luckily I was prepared before I participated as I already had knowledge about html, css and Javascript. I think I would recommend new students to look into these topics before starting the academy as it takes a bit of the pressure off at the beginning. However, this does not mean you have to give everything and focus as it's really intense to learn so much in such a short time. Having said that I still 100% recommend following this bootcamp if you want to Kickstart your career and want to bring your skills to the next level!

I am very glad I've chosen Codaisseur to kickstart my new career. The teachers are very friendly and knowledgeable and the course pushes you to learn something new every day. It was not hard at all, and the assessments are easy if you have a lot of fun... Read More coding and learning like I had. But I couldn't have learned as much, and especially this fast, by myself. The ocean of coding blogs and tutorials is just too vast, while 90% is outdated. The people at Codaisseur did a very good job of staying up to date with the latest technologies. The things I learned were directly applicable at my first job as developer. The course touches every aspect of being an effective junior developer. But in the end it's up to you to become one. And if you are enthusiastic and serious about it, the teachers at Codaisseur will be there for you to help you overcome any obstacle. Although the team was also there for me during my job search period, I didn't need it because I sent out a lot of applications end found my dream job after one month.

I found Codaisseur when searching for a Bootcamp, that would enable me to effectively change my career into web development, so I found their No Cure No Pay business model perfect. The course itself happened to be the most stressful and hard 11 weeks... Read More of my life because the learning pace is so fast, but it is surprisingly doable with the way lectures are structured and with the personal help of one of the nicest and most resourceful teachers and assistants I ever met. As someone with no technical background, I wouldn't be able to learn so many technical skills in only 11 weeks, and what's more, Codaisseur gave us the right tools and skills to actually enter the job market fully prepared. All along the way and even after the academy, we were given the support of career advisors, were able to join online employer meetup events, and much more. I found a job with one of the biggest companies in the global payments industries only 2 months after graduating from the academy. I think this is the biggest added value of Codaisseur, the support you get when actually looking for the job.

Curriculum was well-rounded and very in-demand. It gave me an advantage in the job market to have experience with shiny new tech. After going through this bootcamp myself, I'd be pretty confident at hiring a bootcamp grad in the future. Good talent is still hard to come by! If you have the motivation and willingness to learn, then go for it!

I graduated more than two years ago and found a job within two months as a junior software developer. As the title explains, this bootcamp is a very good springboard for getting in the tech industry. Before starting, I did not have any professional development... Read More skills but did have a great interest in tech and coding. I did a lot of self study but my conclusion was that it would not be enough to land a job as a developer. I needed more guidance in developing the prerequisite (technical) skills. For me, Codaisseur offered exactly that. It was an intense program which offered a good introduction into full stack development. While the course was very enjoyable and rewarding, keep in mind that even though you'll spend quite some hours developing your skills in a class, a lot of extra hours have to be poured in as well in order to really grasp the concepts that are taught. Especially towards the end, I did have to put in some nightly hours but it was ultimately worth it (it's obviously only temporary). I'll also have to add that in order make it easier for yourself, please prepare as much as you can. Check the current curriculum for the specific technologies but I can guarantee you that if you have a firm grasp on JavaScript (and possibly a little React), you'll have a lot more mental space for all the new concepts. I also liked the teachers a lot; they were always ready to help and open for questions and feedback. Another thing to note is that the attrition in my class was pretty high, but in my opinion that can be mostly attributed to a lack of foundation before starting this course. You can still manage without prior knowledge, but be prepared to put in a lot of extra hours. Also, please note that I did the course when on site classes were the norm. I cannot say much about the classes in the current form, but I can vouch for teaching material and teachers. In short, I would definitely recommend this bootcamp, but please make sure that you're 100% committed and you really want a job a a developer.

I graduated class #25 and am currently into my second year of working for one of the Netherlands top ten webshops. Would definitely recommend.
