Unfortunately, the course structure did not align with what was advertised. I requested a refund within the 14-day policy due to my dissatisfaction, but the responses to my inquiries were unclear, and communication has since stopped altogether. Despite my requests, my debit card remains on file, raising concerns about future charges.

I urge potential students to think twice before enrolling. My experience has been frustrating and has left me questioning the integrity of this program.

For a few years I toyed with the idea of breaking into tech, but I let those imposter syndrome thoughts tell me that “it’s too hard, you can’t do it!”. I had been considering a similarly structured online program but TripleTen’s full-stack looked way better with a better price tag. I also liked how the program was structured into sprints. I can struggle to self-start and keep an independent pace, so the hard deadlines hold me accountable. You are able to take breaks in the program as needed (they are even encouraged!). Once I had decided that TripleTen was the program that I wanted to move forward with I spoke with an advisor who further helped me to “quiet” the thoughts that told me that I couldn’t do it – and I went for it! I am so happy that I did. The journey has been challenging but seeing your projects come together is SO rewarding. The theory can be overwhelming at first. However, it is divided into text, visuals, videos, links to outside resources, and the interactive coding platform so it is easy to stay engaged. The platform is also visually appealing and easy to navigate. I highly recommend giving yourself enough time to complete the theory especially if you do not have any coding experience. And take notes! The best part of the program is the Discord server where you can interact with the Tutors, Success Managers, and other students. The Tutors do a great job of giving hints and explanations using videos, visuals, and detailed written feedback to guide you towards the solution rather than telling you the answer outright. They help you to critically think and encourage you to do your own research because that is going to help you be successful in the workforce. I have never had to wait more than two hours for a tutor to answer a question. There are also multiple office hours most days of the week, so there are frequent opportunities for support outside of Discord. If additional support is needed, you can ask for a 1:1 tutoring session. The Success Managers check-in with you frequently, encourage you to keep up the hard work, and help you keep a steady pace. The whole community is really supportive and friendly. I haven’t fully immersed myself in the career prep coursework but the resources are abundant! If you are considering TripleTen as your coding bootcamp, I am here to tell you that the program is a 10/10 DO recommend!

I quit law school because I missed variety, connection, and problem solving. I knew that I could either become an average lawyer or go for something else that I had more of a passion for. However, when it got to creating projects I lacked direction. This was when I decided to interview with bootcamps. It was close, but TripleTen won me over. From the start they showed transparency to share all they had to offer when others were reluctant. They were quick to respond to my questions and were never condescending. They got me excited to jump back into my career after the woes of quitting law school. This has been a solid foundation and an accurate representation of how the bootcamp is. Check out their website - the quirkiness bleeds into the course making the content way more enjoyable. If I have a question or concern it is addressed quickly. The course is set up to remind us that it is perfectly normal not to not understand a concept right away. This helps me no longer spend hours on message boards, rather get help from an encouraging source within minutes. However, the biggest selling point has been the career focus. TripleTen was the only one to offer real world experience with externships in their data science program when I applied. I haven’t quite got to this point, but should start it next month. In terms of downsides, I would emphasise that this course isn’t easy. You must remember that we are competing with people who have many years of experience in these fields. Also don’t be too hard on yourself if you can’t figure it all out at first and be sure to reach out to help when you need it. That’s what you are paying for.

Then, scrolling through Instagram, of all places, I get an ad for an online bootcamp called TripleTen. After doing my research, I hopped on the bandwagon, reading that they are so confident in their job-hunting skills that they'll refund your tuition if you don't get a job is really exciting. There are no classes, a simple website with an interactive coding platform, and a discord server where you can ask questions and keep in contact with the community and your tutors. With a deadline every two weeks (sprints) for your projects, you'll be done before the end of the year. I love that at any time of those two weeks, I can work as long as I want whenever I want. Of course, as long as I turn in the project before the deadline. They recently made it where the career curriculum a part of the regular program, so that you can knock both out at the same time! I recommend that anyone getting into this program to start building small projects alongside the education, as that will really reinforce your skills and show that you really are learning something powerful from the education. I greatly recommend this program to anyone interested in Software Development, and I can't wait to get into this career.

Triple Ten offered not only a well recommended curriculum but also promised the viability of career options at the completion of the program and it seemed like an incredible opportunity. I often spent around 20hrs a week to studying the program but often felt the platform allowed for an incredibly flexible scheduling get around my normal work responsibilities and school work. I was provided projects that reflected real world software engineering work and a team of well informed tutors readily available for any feedback on how to address any issues I was facing.

However, if you’re considering the program and don’t have much background knowledge, the curriculum is so comprehensive, I don’t think it’s totally necessary. I researched a number of bootcamps before starting this one, but TripleTen stood out to me for several reasons. For starters, the externship opportunities that TripleTen offers were something I had never seen with any other program. I also really appreciate the flexibility the program offers. For me, no two weeks look the same, but I average 15-20 hours per week on coursework. They also offer a certain number of extensions if you need extra time to finish a project. I’m a senior student, so I tutor other students as well. It’s given me a chance to meet other learners and practice communicating technical concepts. I also meet with a group of students on Zoom each week to discuss what we’re learning, networking tips, and also just to hang out. Outside of that, I’ve also participated in a Code Jam where I had the opportunity to work on a team of two other students and compete against some of our peers in building and presenting a real project. The code review process that happens at the end of each sprint is really helpful as well. The code reviewers give tips for industry best practices, which have made me so much more confident in my skill level. Overall, I’ve had a really great experience with this program. The community managers and tutors are all really encouraging. With it being a remote program, I was worried I might feel isolated or helpless if I got stuck, but the tutors hold office hours every day and have always been able to help out. I’ve been more than happy with the program, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to switch into a career in tech.

I studied 5-6 hours on weekdays and 2-3 hours on weekends. If I needed more understanding, I'd spend extra time researching. Instead of attending scheduled sessions, I used Discord to ask questions. This way, I could learn on my own and only ask for help when needed. TripleTen is good for people like me who prefer learning independently but sometimes need a little extra explanation. Even though learning from professionals is helpful, TripleTen gave me the freedom to learn on my own without feeling embarrassed to ask for help. For beginners in coding: Use TripleTen's support on Discord, make your own schedule, and focus on projects. Don't hesitate to ask questions—learning to ask is part of the process. In short, TripleTen's way of teaching suits those who like to direct their own learning. It creates a helpful community and helps you build real coding skills.

Having so much in depth learning of the theory as well as hands on coding have provided me skills I will carry with me forever. Heres a list of the pros and cons, as well as some advice! Pros: - The course offers help at anytime you need it. The barrier between students and tutors is non-existent. Its super easy to get help and there isn't any time frames besides obvious hours no one works! There are also office hours (And alot of them) in which allows you to actually speak with a tutor to get more in depth help if preferred. - The material is an amazing balance between theory, and coding. The knowledge the curriculum provides regarding theory makes it so much easier to pick up other tech stacks outside of what the bootcamp teaches. For example, I have given myself quite a bit of exposure to Java and Python and getting a grasp on these stacks has been much easier than it would be without experience and understanding of general theory and syntax. - The projects you create are very fun and appealing! Cons - The learning curve is quite large for one with no experience and the content can be alot to take in. With that, some advice I would give people wanting to partake in TripleTens bootcamp and have a structure and be ready for nonstop learning! Long Honest review: Tripleten formerly known as (Practicum). Is one of the most important parts of my life to date, without them I don't even know if I would've made the switch into the tech industry. Before TripleTen I was still studying film and working on other projects related to film like music videos, commercial shoots etc. But over the course of my time during studying film and all the other projects, I had a little crisis in my life wondering or not if film was the right thing for me and if it was something I really wanted to do. Some time passed and I was browsing on youtube when suddenly an AD for Tripleten (Practicum) popped up and it caught my attention (link to the ad if you would like to watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AKBCNpDx1U). Long story short it spoke about a guy named William who went through some of the same difficulties I was going through during that time and decided he was going to join TripleTen because he wasn't happy with where he was at in his life and wanted something better. I proceeded to watch the ad in its entirety and was sold from that moment on. And I decided from there on out to give it a shot and if writing lines of code wasn't for me then it wasn't for me. So, I applied to TripleTen a couple of weeks later and did their first sample project and it felt right. Writing those lines of code and seeing my very first webpage talking about me and who I am load up in front of my very eyes was just astonishing and from there on I pursued it. Fast forward a couple months later to now and I'm a couple weeks out from graduating from their bootcamp. And I have to say it has been quite the experience from learning from my mistakes, to seeing my code work when I run the program, and just learning something new every day. When it comes to the instructors, they're very nice and will help you with every single problem you have when it comes to coding like understanding a new concept, how to break things down and what kind of thought process you should have as your coding and not to mention they're also very kind, understanding, and patient. That alone is hard to find in a lot of places since the material you're studying and working with is sort of difficult if you don't put the work in. Shifting topics to my community manager, they are a big help and nothing but supportive over the course of my time studying at TripleTen. And has been very patient with me when it came to giving me breaks, after learning a new programming language so I can come back to myself after studying a difficult lesson, also the extensions they gave me so I can dive even deeper into the theory and learning process to fully comprehend all the lines of code I wrote to understand how all of it works line by line. Jumping on to another topic, I haven't had a chance yet to do the career support as I've decided to just study everything and then apply later, but I've heard of other peers getting jobs within a couple months after they graduate. And that they'll still be there helping you find a job even after you graduate from their program months down the line if you want to find a new company to work with. The bottom-line is, if you really want to try and join the tech industry or just want to switch out of your current career path in the pursuit of self-improvement or whatever that may be for you. And you are willing to go through the difficulties of learning new programming languages. And or as well as stepping out of your comfort zone a little bit. In addition to learning a new skill while still being able to live your life and also don't mind taking some time out of your day to do so. Then TripleTen might be the place for you!!
