These mentors help with everything necessary to be as prepared as possible to land not only an interview, but to excel in it and land the job. TripleTen is a must for anyone looking to obtain real-world skills in Software Engineering.

Read More information out there and with zero computer programing experience, I felt like a deer in headlights. I gave up the idea of teaching myself and started looking at educational platforms (i.e., bootcamps). TripleTen (formally Practicum) looked very attractive to me because of their promise to teach practical skills in data science that will make you valuable to potential employers. To be honest, the fact that TripleTen promises to refund you your money if you are not gainfully employed after completing the course is all I needed to know that they are legit. I could not wait to enroll! After completing a couple of projects, I would say this program is challenging but very rewarding. I have learned so much within a short period of time! The interactive platform helps me to understand the concepts in each chapter and the projects are very interesting as we get to use our newly acquired skills to analyze real data. I will admit the projects are not easy and can sometimes feel overwhelming but the support from tutors, fellow students, community managers, and project reviewers make it possible for me to complete them. Everyone at TripleTen wants you to succeed and that is truly amazing to know as a student! My advice to anyone who is considering enrolling to TripleTen is to be willing to dedicate at least 3 to 4 hours a day to learning course content and completing projects on time. Like I said, everyone at TripleTen wants you to succeed, so do not hesitate to ask questions or ask for help when you get stuck on a particular task.

I have a bachelor's degree in marketing and wanted to branch out into the more analytic side. After lots of research, I decided with TripleTen based on their reviews and career placement guarantee. The real world projects and tasks throughout the lessons help tremendously with the visual/hands-on learning person that I am. The tutors and project reviewers are great at giving you additional resources if needed and explaining how to come up with solutions rather than just giving you an answer. There are some hard deadlines that keep you going, but it is mostly work at your own pace. I am currently almost 80% complete with the Data Science course and I am also about two weeks ahead of the projected timeline given. I feel like if I can do this, anyone can!

TripleTen has a good online community with study buddies 5 days a week, and teambuilding if you take advantage of opportunities with cohort members. The community is one of the best parts. This program is good if you have a bit of gumption about yourself and some sort of interest in the subject of study you choose. The whole point is to get a job in the field, I have just 3 months left to finish the 9 month program. The work itself is challenging. I came in not knowing much of programming. The data science field requires knowledge of coding, and a certain field of mathematics. If a person likes solving problems this could be good for them. I like how now I am in the part of the program that now starts to apply data science to practical business use. There are a lot of things to learn before getting to practical usage. Another part of the program that I do like is there are deadlines. I personally need deadlines to work toward for personal goal meeting and to get a logistical view point of attaining goals. Again the work can be a bit challenging but I have surprised myself with gaining a lot of skill and knowledge in the field. The point is to get a good job in the field which I have not reached yet. The online staff at Tripleten is helpful, and the tutors are good, not great, but good-- definitely not bad. Lastly, as you learn --you code; you read theory, you see examples, then you code-- this does help when you have to make the code work as you go along.

I would like to start this review of why I chose TripleTen as the bootcamp to learn how to become a Data Analyst. Before joining TripleTen, I had tried to study the different subjects that are provided within the course, like learning Excel/Spreadsheets,... Read More SQL and Python. But learning these subjects on my own proved to be a very difficult task and could not find the time or the structure to study these subjects correctly and to understand them was an even harder task. As I started to review and investigate different bootcamps, I came across TripleTen. I was immediately convinced as it had very positive reviews from previous students, the price point was very reasonable (with different payment options) and the course completion of 6 months was very appealing. Before beginning, you have a phone conference with a TripleTen representative that explains the course in detail and it helped me to make the decision to enter this bootcamp. Upon entering, you are given a start date and an orientation, that answers any doubts that you might have about the bootcamp. The structure of the course is very adaptable to anyone. I am currently working a full-time job, from 8am - 5pm, and always found the time to study either during my lunch breaks or after work. I also structured study time during the weekends so that I would not fall behind. In total, I would say that I would study around 15-20 hours per week. The bootcamp is structured in a very reasonable and workable way. You first are given material to read and review about each subject, like Excel/Spreadsheets, SQL, Python, etc. During theoretical learning, you are also given review task which cement the learning material further. After every sprint (how the course is divided, about 2-3 weeks of learning), you are to complete a project about what you learned. The projects to me were my favorite thing about the bootcamp, as they require you to apply all of your knowledge that you learned during the sprint. The projects are also the most fundamental part of the bootcamp, in my opinion, because it is the evidence that you learned the material and is what you are able to present to future employers. Tips and advice for anyone thinking of joining this bootcamp is to not be discouraged if any of the material appears to be harder than expected. If it were easy, anybody would do it. Also, the support from tutors and project manager is always available and they are always willing to help and guide you through any difficulties. Another thing to consider it to always make the time, there will be days when you will feel overwhelmed, but trust me when I say that it is possible and by putting your mind to it, it is always possible. Also, the times are very flexible and even working full-time, I never fell behind in any sprint. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my time with TripleTen and I would most definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about getting into the tech industry.

The learning process is very smooth and has everything you need to become a professional. Theory, examples (a lot of examples), and of course practice. Sometimes it's not easy and you have to find answers on the internet, or ask your tutors. They are amazing and super patient, and they're always open and ready to help you out and explain everything you don't understand. You create a few different websites which you can show on your resume when you'll be looking for a job. They have community managers and they're amazing. Always support you and care about you and your learning experience. The platform itself is very easy to use, you can find everything you've learned before if you need to. Overall, I recommend TripleTen to everyone who wants to become a software engineer.

I'm not exactly sure why, but something about this boot camp felt right—the comprehensive information provided, the well-structured curriculum, also the encouraging call I received from their representative. I must admit that the course was very challenging and intense for me, but it was definitely worth the effort to complete it. I have a tendency to take things very seriously, and there were times when I made mistakes or failed to seek help in advance, which may have taken longer to complete the course. Nevertheless, I persevered, learned a lot, and gained valuable skills in data analysis, data visualization, and machine learning. The course also provided real-world projects that enhanced my resume. Through this experience, I learned that it's okay when things don't go as planned, and it's acceptable to make mistakes and move forward when necessary. I am grateful for the incredible support team, code reviewers, tutors, and the welcoming community. I want to express my appreciation to my exceptional community manager, Marina, who has been extremely supportive and always there for me. Altogether, my experience with TripleTen has been excellent so far, and I have no doubts that if you are seeking the best engineering education, this is the boot camp to choose from.

I'm still a student at TripleTen, and I've gone through 9 of the 16 total sprints so far. From the very first one, the information was presented in a clear and effective manner. The theory is comprehensive without being overwhelming, and the exercises... Read More are great reinforcement of each of the theory segments. The projects at the end of each sprint are direct applications of the information presented in the chapter, with just enough challenge to push your skills and solidify your learning. There's just enough guidance to let you figure out things own your own, or get help from tutors. Each sprint builds on past material very well, advancing your knowledge as the program goes along. The community support and engagement is great as well. Community managers and tutors are super responsive and helpful; the scheduled office hours for students to have a planned time to ask for help and questions are very useful as well. The tutors are very knowledgeable; they're always willing to help, and explain ideas beyond the scope of projects or sprints. TripleTen has been a great experience so far, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to get into software engineering.

I have completed the first third of the Data Science Bootcamp as of today. I decided to go with TripleTen (Originally Practicum when I was researching programs) after several weeks of investigating various online Data Science Bootcamps. One of the biggest... Read More selling points for me was the opportunity to do work for a real company while in the program. I also did the introduction to coding module and found the UI to be very easy to use and navigate. So far my experience has been excellent. The material has been engaging and challenging, but not so difficult as to be frustrating. The set up on Discord is great. For each new module you are added to that module's discord channel and you can see the questions previously asked by students and the answers from tutors and other students. This saves time and prevents you from having to ask the same question as others. I would say I spend around the 20 hours per week that TripleTen said I should expect at the beginning of the program. I find it best to put in at least an hour a day during the week and several hours on the weekends. Overall I feel like it is a great program and I highly recommend it.

Upon deciding to make a career shift, I saw an advertisement for Practicum, now TripleTen and realized moving into the tech industry would be a good idea for me. For a couple of weeks, I researched different programs – not wanting to settle on the first... Read More thing I saw, even though I ended up going with it. I found good reviews and feedback on Practicum’s programs which led me into the next leg of my journey to see what field I wanted to go into. Delving deeper into what was offered, I started looking into Software Engineering. I first spoke to a representative of the program, and spent a handful of hours on the introductory course. The conversation was very helpful and encouraging, but upon taking the time to do even the simplest tasks of what Software Engineering was, I wasn’t sure about it. I the decided to see if Data Science was more my speed – luckily, I have friends in the industry that I spoke to, but I was able to speak to another Practicum (at the time) representative for the Data Science program, and got encouraging information about potential careers, how my Criminal Justice degree would fit in with the field, and got access to the introductory course. Upon completing it, I decided it was for me and invested in the program. I was also encouraged by the fact that there is a career acceleration program upon completion of the program that, for data science, boasts a 100% placement for those that go through it into a data science career and seek a job. I made the decision to focus on learning a wildly different field than I came from, so became a full-time student once again, taking the course at a slightly faster pace than was advertised. I was able to focus solely on the program, sometimes spending 40 plus hours a week on my coursework (I think my record was close to 80 in a week), and had the option to be able to slow down to avoid burnout at other points. However, through my studies, I learned that it is organized in consumable chapters within the sprints, or units, that I likely could have worked at the same time as studying without too much change to the learning process I had adjusted my life to fit to. While going through the course, I’ve utilized the workshops that are held for each of the sprints, or watched the videos of past workshops hosted by experienced staff who work in data science, where techniques to better improve on what is in the lesson are applied in helpful ways. Even if the information does not directly apply to the sprint projects I was working on at the time, the information was always valuable in some way. There are also numerous, incredibly helpful tutors that hold office hours daily that do a fantastic job in answering questions, and helping myself and other students through the problems we face either during the coursework or on our projects. And possibly the most helpful feedback and assistance of it all is the code review that occurs within the projects themselves. The format is that I complete the project, submit it, then it is returned with comments and suggestions to improve the project, whether it be code I’ve written or analysis of the data, to get it to a satisfactory level – the feedback I’ve received has always been constructive and very helpful. The project alone has improved my skills in Data Science immensely, and would be worth having even if the workshops and tutoring were not available. The platform itself is also very easy to use. The lessons, coursework, and projects are all done through the website, so it is very user friendly and doesn’t require a lot of peripheral programs to complete. There is eventually a unit in the data science course on setting up your own personal working environment on your personal system to point you in the right direction to work locally if that is the preference. The community also shifted onto Discord from Slack while I’ve been going through the program, which is a popular platform that I was previously familiar with, and know to be an easy to use and popular platform for others, so communication with the TripleTen team, whether tutor or community manager, is very easy as well. I frankly could not have asked for or expected a more user-friendly experience, which is impressive for someone like myself who started out with only the most basic skills when it came to technology. Overall, the program has been very good for me as I had no real knowledge of the Data Science field, and no applied skills beyond critical thinking that would be useful for a career in it. I was able to build up my skills, such as coding in multiple languages – Python, SQL, and even something as simple as Command Line Interface – and gained confidence in both my work and myself over time while getting a taste of the different facets of what potential positions would demand of me. For those that are looking into the program, I would highly recommend speaking to a representative for the course, or courses, you are considering and taking the time to work on the introductory coursework offered to see what learning on the platform would be like along with getting a taste of what some of the more basic skills will be. The representatives TripleTen has are very knowledgeable in the fields they represent, and are genuinely interested in helping prospective students finding the right fit for them. The advice I would give to those that decide to move forward with learning from TripleTen is to set simple, achievable goals week-to-week, and to not get too discouraged if you miss the goals. The program is organized in such a manner that you can complete bite-sized chunks of material at a reasonable pace without overreaching and burning yourself out. This also means taking the time to recharge when needed – as you can get a lot of work done in a short span of time if you really focus down, but it’s also much easier to burn out when doing so because of the complexity of some of the information being presented along with the tasks to apply the skills being taught.
