The course itself is very flexible. I have a full time job, 5 days a week and the course lets you work at your own pace with no strict deadlines. For anyone looking to break into UX design or even upskill, I honestly couldn't recommend this course enough.

The course offers excellent foundations for those entering the world of ux. The video lessons are in-depth and in almost every module there are exercises to be carried out between compulsory and optional, which help to build your portfolio and work on... Read More the final project. The slack channel is quite active, although it was very difficult to be present and give feedback to the projects, as I didn't feel confident as a designer. But the mentors are always very active there too and support the students with feedback and also proposing topics. The course can last 6 months and be extended up to 12 months, and is very useful for those with full-time jobs. For all projects you can ask for feedback and all questions are answered in a short time, even by email. Personally, the course helped me to create a good project to include in my portfolio. Additionally you can also request a portfolio review from a mentor in a 1: 1 call. The final exam consists in the delivery of the last two projects and a multiple choice test whose arguments concern the whole program. The exam is supervised by a support technician who watches you throughout the exam. It is very reminiscent of remote university exams. For me it was very positive because it means that the organization is serious. The percentages of passing the various blocks and the final exam are not given away. You really have to work hard! If I had to choose again, I would do the same course again, so for me it is a full 100/100 for the UX Design Institute! Thank you!

The course is very well structured and delivered in a manner that is relatable and easy to follow. The course strikes a nice balance between practice and theory, as it is both theoretically comprehensive and practically inclined, without ever feeling... Read More overwhelmingly one or the other. Each module leads the learner through a series of processes that serve as a roadmap for developing a solid and meaningful user experience. During the process, you will learn among other methodologies, how to correctly conduct user surveys, heuristic evaluations and usability tests as well as producing customer journey maps and flows. The course is very well scaffolded, with successive projects ultimately culminating in a capstone project that helps learners incorporate and apply all they have learned into a medium or high fidelity working prototype. One of the aspects of the course that impressed me most was the emphasis on professionally relevant curricula. I feel that this emphasis on industry requirements lends a tangible, real-world dimension to this course that is both refreshing and reassuring. All the tutors that I interacted with were very professional, helpful and accommodating and the feedback on projects was informed and thorough. Having taken some other courses in this space, I would have liked to have seen more peer collaboration and perhaps some interactive quizzes after each module. I do however recognise that this won’t work for everyone and I understand that the UX Design Institute has put a huge amount of work into delivering an engaging and well-balanced curriculum. This is a good, well designed course covering all the basics of User Experience design. I cannot praise the staff enough, they are very responsive and engaged. You can see that the support team are always looking for ways to improve their support to us.... Read More I love their use of Slack and that the alumni keep in touch on this platform. I liked that I could work a full time job and do the online course at my own pace. I would have liked more interaction with staff and other students but I can see how that is difficult given that we all start at different times. I know they run introduction live online seminars but it would have good if that could be a bit more treating us as a group and involved more interaction. I had already completed an internship with a government office but failed to make it into junior positions. I went back to my old profession of Graphic Designer while I studied. This course came highly recommended by other civil servants alumni and I found that it help me fill in the gaps in my knowledge and in October 2022 I start my new position as a Junior Interaction Designer with another government department.

This course gives a really good overview of how to design responsive websites and applications. I particularly loved the pieces on grid setup and Gestalt principles. Even if you're a dab hand at design, it's handy to get a bit of a refresher on what you already know and to expand your knowledge on what you don't. I'd definitely recommend this course to both beginners and pros alike.
