However, I believe personal feedback throughout the course could be improved in their emails... They send you an email saying "You passed" after each project, but it doesn't actually say any score.. so you really don't know where you could improve or if it was excellent or just okay. Apart from that, it was a great experience and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a course that covers the basics and a little bit more!

The online learning structure was well presented and was in perfect balance with all the practical projects; each video module gave you all the necessary content to learn UX, even as a novice. I've felt like I've gained an immense amount of career changing knowledge! The tutors marked projects fairly and gave useful feedback, their honest critique was very beneficial and often gave insight to improve the current project or help when approaching the next. In all, the UX Design Institute team were extremely helpful, accommodating and friendly while been very professional. They were always quick to answer your questions, help with any course issues and would go out of their way to get you through the course and projects - they really went that extra mile!

I completed the course within two months but I was also doing this for almost full time. The course consists of different projects and online videos. The online videos are very good with great explanation of the theory. You are also being recommended to read about 10 books but you don't have to read them to complete the course. The books are good to get a better understanding. I only read one of the books (no time to read the others). You get great support from other students and from their student success team. They are very helpful and friendly. This course is great if you need some kind of documentation for your skills.

I was looking for a framework that offers a certain level of curriculum guidance and reassurance that I am learning the right things, as well as a tutored course so that I get feedback on my work. And something that is not as expensive as the likes of... Read More General Assembly, accepting that I do not have a personal tutor/mentor. The curriculum is okay, I did need to spend more time than the estimated 5 hours/week to study and deliver my projects. Good in terms of content, just relevant to keep in mind to balance with the time you have. I was expecting more specific and useful feedback to the projects I submitted. The majority of projects were scored simply with pass/fail, no other feedback - which is not very helpful in terms of learning. The interaction with the mentor and school tutors felt quite impersonal to me, being only in writing via chat. The webinars didn't feel like adding that much value, since they had very similar to content to previously recorded ones which I'd watched. Overall, it's an acceptable experience - enough to get you started and curious about the field of UX and to give you direction on how to educate yourself further. As I don't think this course is enough for someone to straight away start into a UX Designer job or to build a good enough portfolio.
