I had no experience as a programmer or system administrator, but I wanted to get into the tech field. I searched for different boot camps but only Yellow Tail Tech gave me the right push. The pacing of the program is really great, especially for people like me who work full time during the day. The thing I appreciate about Yellow Tail Tech is that all their classes are taken at night so you can do whatever you want, work, spend time with family, whatever during the day and learn at night. I also like our Slack channel dedicated to our Cohort where we can ask questions, and get immediate feedback, it’s amazing. Our instructors always encourage us to ask questions, anything you couldn’t get the first time, ask and then practice, practice, practice. The motivation from my instructors and my cohort classmates kept me going. Since I am now working as a Linux System Administrator, I want to thank my instructor Allan and my TA’s because the support that they have given me is just 100%. The whole Yellow Tail Tech team is just great.

As I was going through LinkedIn looking for companies that would hire me. I received a messenger from Yellow Tail Tech, it was an ad from them but I just read through it. I loaned money from my parents and enrolled in the program. I had no idea what I was doing and how to get started with Linux but I just took the leap, that’s what Jubee says. I am so lucky that my hard work paid off. I attended all my classes and the review sessions, I asked questions when I couldn’t understand a topic, and when someone also asked a question on our Slack channel I would also give my answer because I know that helping goes a long way plus if my answer is wrong we have teacher assistants and instructors on the channel who could correct me. I would recommend Yellow Tail Tech to anyone who wants to make their career change into something more exciting! I’ve paid off my loan to my parents, I just came from a vacation with them and I’m just glad that right now I’m in a place where I feel so blessed. The training was great, and the instructors were very knowledgeable. Hands down to my instructor Allan and our Teacher Assistants, Alberto and Georges. They made sure we knew exactly what we needed to know before moving on to the next step. I really enjoyed how hands-on it was—you really got a chance to work through each problem and get comfortable with using the tools for your job. The labs were also fun and useful because you got to practice what you learned in class. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who wants to become an IT Professional and also to people who already know IT but want to dive into Linux. Yellow Tail Tech is a place where students can hone their skills in Linux and become an IT professional, while learning with other students from different backgrounds. I love that the company provides students with the opportunity to grow especially as an IT Professional. The instructors are really helpful and you can really see how genuine they are in what they do and hope to accomplish. I think that’s one of the reasons why I like going to class. My classmates too are very supportive since most of us have no IT background. We kind of have something in common. The whole Yellow Tail Tech team encourages their students to engage, especially our Career Success Coach, Rob, he always posts an activity on Slack, and I also like that because I really can see how they would go above and beyond for us. Yellow Tail Tech is exactly what I needed to get my career off the ground and make an immediate impact on my life. As a result, I'm making new connections and learning from some of the best teachers in my field—and also helping them learn from me! I love that Yellow Tail gives me something to do every day, even if it's just sharing what I've learned with other people. And it's not just about getting me through those tough moments (like when my instructors ask us a question). It's also about building relationships with other students who have different backgrounds than mine. The program structure is very efficient plus the way the instructors handle the classes is superb. My classmates help each other by answering questions posted on our Slack channel. The instructors would pitch their answers too, that really helps in making sure that everything is right. I’m still in the process of getting my certification but the support and help I get from the instructors and all the Yellow Tail Tech instructors is really amazing. I know that I had to put more effort into learning and practicing more because I believe that hard work pays. When I started the class I didn’t feel overwhelmed, rather I felt welcomed and that’s one of the things that I also loved about Yellow Tail Tech. They were very honest when it came to saying that we need to work hard to achieve our goals and that’s exactly what I did. I’m so grateful to my instructors - Georges and Riky and the TA’s too, they’ve really helped me become better especially in terms of Linux and answering my questions. Now that I’m on the stage where we are preparing for the certification I’m confident with my skills but I’ll be lying if I’m not nervous because I am but I’m confident that with what I have now I can do it. I’ve searched about them on google and looked up their website. Long story short I did enroll in the program but there were some family issues and emergencies that I have to resolve so I stopped. After a year, I was very surprised because most of my classmates who finished the program are already working in a tech company. I realized that Yellow Tail Tech works and that it's not just a bunch of inspirational stories. It's a proven way to make money and get ahead. But after taking some time off, I enrolled again because I know how Yellow Tail Tech works, and I want to be part of this success story! My fellow students are very diverse and the instructors will really put in effort to help you out. I like to thank Allan, my instructor because he really helped me out every time I had questions or anything. I’m currently in the Cert prep but I can definitely say that I am confident to take the exam and I wouldn't be here if not for the Yellow Tail Team.

After that I just followed their process and enrolled. The thing I like most about Yellow Tail Tech is that they will really guide you in every step of the way. The program structure is also very suited for people with no IT background so learning the modules was easy but it takes practice to really understand and put the concepts to heart. Today, I am working with not only a high-paying job but also in a company where my needs are met and all of us are growing.
