Read More all programs should be, right? Not just that, the program structure is really designed professionally. It’s like digesting the right amount of knowledge. It’s not overwhelming and it looks like it’s really designed for people like me with no technical background. The materials are also great. I don’t even have to search for other extra materials outside of the class although the instructors also encourage us too. I think more people should know about this program and I will definitely help spread the word out.

I would advise everybody to go with Yellow Tail instead of going somewhere else, because the way the program is set up, the materials that you have, you have access to them whenever you want to go online, and then you can access them, you can read. So... Read More the way the thing is set up for you guys, you know what I mean, you don't have to go somewhere else. Let's say I know somebody is trying to learn stuff from YouTube, but it's so confusing if you just go on YouTube and watch videos and say, "Hey, I'm going to watch," even though some people in there say, "Okay, I'm doing something." But it's totally different from Yellow Tail Tech. The thing is, it's like they go step-by-step. That's what I like about the program. That's what I like about the materials. And to me, everything is good. Everything is perfect over there. I’ve been really enjoying the program. That's what I said when I first started. I said since day one, I'm enjoying the program and up to now, I'm on top of it.

Read More that’s for sure, you have to know that it’s necessary to put in hard work for this but what I love about Yellow Tail Tech is that from the get go, they don’t really claim it to be easy. I love how real they are. They didn’t overpromise anything that they wouldn’t deliver. I also liked how everyone in the community are high performers. There’s no competition or whatever. We motivate each other to succeed. Some of the cohort leaders even initiate some group studies to help everyone in the class who’s falling behind. It’s like Yellow Tail Tech really took time to evaluate the students and make sure that everyone is serious and motivated to succeed and reach their goals. I can’t be happier with this program and I will recommend this to everyone.

I would say that this is the best program for people like me who are working full-time but wanted to transition into an IT career. The schedule of the live sessions really fit my schedule. I really appreciate that we also have weekend review sessions... Read More so when I have some questions, the teachers really take time to help me out. Aside from that, our instructors are always there. They never made us feel embarrassed to ask any questions. They always answer right away and sometimes even go to the length of calling me on Slack whenever I don’t understand something. It’s just so comforting how hands on they are. I love how 90% of the instructors also came from a non IT background so they are passionate enough about helping us succeed and be like them. I’ve never experienced a program as caring as Yellow Tail Tech is. They really care about us and our success. Kudos to the team!

Read More experience but then I’ve read a lot of great reviews from their students, I even double checked their students’ LinkedIn profiles if they are legit and once I proved that they are, I immediately signed up. I’m just really amazed how hands on they are with their students especially to someone like me from a non IT background. They are very patient and thorough and I’d like to give a special mention to the most fun instructor ever, David Baker. It wasn’t easy but he made it fun for us. Just like what he always says, practice 100,000 times and you’ll get there. I’m almost done with the program and I can’t put into words how satisfied I am. Thank you so much to the whole team!

Yellow Tail Tech really understands people with no IT background, I’m speaking from experience here. I enrolled in their program called Linux for Jobs and I really don’t have any experience with anything technical about using a laptop besides surfing... Read More the internet and watching Netflix. It’s one of the reasons why I chose to enroll in Yellow Tail Tech because they really emphasize that they’re going to help those people with no IT background. I was working as a salon artist back then specializing in hair and makeup and I just wanted to change. The program was superb. I like how they slowly introduce you to the concepts and we really started with the basics so I really appreciated that. The instructors were also very helpful and engaging, they always encourage us to ask questions, and since we have a dedicated Slack channel I always post my questions there so that really helps. I like that we also have other activities, especially with Rob, our Career Success Coach, so he supervises several events with other students some of whom are not really from the same Cohort as mine so that way we can communicate and network. I really like that. I took the test twice because I wasn’t really that good of a student. I've had days where I procrastinated so that’s why. Since I’m already working now and got 3 offers before that, I am so grateful. Who would’ve thought that from being a salon worker now I am a Linux System Administrator? I am so happy and I owe it all to Yellow Tail Tech. To anyone, who wants to change and start something new Yellow Tail Tech is absolutely for you!

Learning Linux for Jobs at Yellow Tail Tech was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It's the best investment I have given myself. I couldn’t imagine, I was just a cashier at a local grocery store a year ago and now I’m a Linux System Administrator. The classes were just amazing, I just followed the process, I attended the class every night, I attended review sessions, whatever process Yellow Tail Tech had I followed it. They told me I need to practice every day, I practiced, they told me to read this, and I read. I trusted them because I had nothing to fall back on, I had to keep going. I took my Red Hat certification exam and passed on my first take. Some would consider that lucky but I did the work and I think luck favors the prepared, that’s one of my favorite quotes. The support that Yellow Tail Tech had given from the moment I graduated to my internship to the time I had to look for a job was just 100%. They never left me, just like what they promised. Our instructors are very well-equipped in teaching us and it also helped that they’ve also graduated from the program so they really know the process. When I got the job I was really happy, I don’t know how to explain my feeling but I was just so grateful to my classmates, my instructors, and everyone at Yellow Tail Tech. Yellow Tail Tech is the best IT training school if you want to really get into the game of IT. This is not just me bragging about it but they’re just the best. I have been enrolled in several IT boot camps in the past and most of them just wasted my money... Read More and did not provide anything out of my investment. When I started my class with Yellow Tail Tech I was amazed at how serious they are in helping people with no IT background. It was a year ago when I graduated from the program but I can still remember clearly the first day we were in class it was kick-off, we meet Jubee and Thierry and one of our instructors and all my classmates were there it was awesome, it was like an orientation before we get into the real deal and I’m really glad that I joined that kick-off because that fueled me to keep going. There was one segment in the event where Thierry told us to list down our why, why am I in here? My why that time is I want to become financially independent so that I will not do multiple jobs anymore just to provide for my family. The program at Yellow Tail Tech is not self-paced; we get to see the instructors live which means we get to meet and interact with them in class. I also like my classmates, we all came from different backgrounds but we came together with a goal in mind. I like that the program is not self-paced because it kills procrastination and there is really a set goal that I need to accomplish and there’s a process that I have to follow. The way our instructors also handed us the topics it’s just amazing because we really started from the very basic. I really enjoyed learning at Yellow Tail Tech. Since I already finished Linux for Jobs I’ve been planning to enroll in AWS for Jobs too. I have invited some of my friends so they can also experience Yellow Tail Tech and shift to a career in IT.

My experience at Yellow Tail Tech is not only great but also very rewarding. After I graduated from the program, I passed the RHCSA exam and then moved on to the internship program. Read More of giving up not because of the program but because of personal reasons, but when I shared my problems with my instructors and my Cohort mates they were all very supportive. I told myself that I need to push myself and get to the goal. Practice really makes perfect, because from the beginning during regular class our instructors would tell us to keep on practicing because that would help us remember the concepts. I like that our class is very interactive and engaging and that really helped me too. When I was already applying for a job Yellow Tail Tech helped me polish my resume, they guided me all the way through, they also helped me with my LinkedIn account, what things to put in there, which people to connect with, the support was all out. We were also given mock interviews and before that, I was kinda nervous because all my life I never really got into formal interviews so during the first mock interview I remember I just answered a phrase, one sentence, I wasn’t confident but then I just do more mock interviews listened to the feedback and I think that’s what helped me land my first job. The first job that I got was also my first job interview and I’m just so happy about it. I am beyond grateful for Yellow Tail Tech, they are the best at what they do, I highly recommend Yellow Tail Tech to everyone who wants to have a career in IT.
