There’s a lot of information that you have to remember but what helped me memorize them is just practice. That’s what our instructors taught us to practice so later on it will just become like muscle memory. Shifting to another career is really hard work, you really need to put in a lot of effort. Yellow Tail Tech helped ease my anxiety because I really don’t have a fallback plan, I mean if I don’t succeed in becoming a Linux System Administrator I have nothing to go back to. So I just followed their lead. I studied and then when it came to the cert prep I doubled my efforts. I wouldn’t make it through if I didn’t get any help from my instructor Allan, and my TAs, especially Alberto. They just made sure I learned the depth of the lessons, and that really helped me pass my exam and learn my way around Linux. I would highly recommend to everyone to look into Yellow Tail Tech and their programs because they will really surprise you.

Read More was just perfect if you really want to succeed in IT. I like that it’s not self-paced because I have a goal to learn this kind of thing and make sure that I am not behind in class. I’m kind of competitive and I also have classmates who are competitive like me so I really made sure to study like everyone else, and whenever there are questions thrown in the Slack channel if I know it I would immediately respond, I just want to be like someone my classmates can count on. The instructors are very knowledgeable on the topics, and though the materials are kinda technical they try to make it light for us so it’s really perfect for people with no IT background.

I really like my classmates too, they’ve been very helpful to me and just the community of students at Yellow Tail Tech. It's awesome though we are so diverse we made sure that we support everyone. I especially liked the general slack channel where they posted the achievements of their students because it also motivated me that I too will be posted on the general channel once I pass my exam and when I get my job. I’m just really excited, to be honest. I’m really thankful that Jubee created Yellow Tail Tech because they really helped a lot of people and I’m one of them.

I was looking into a career change and browsing videos on Youtube when I saw Jubee’s video and there was this feeling. It just felt right, you know? I booked my Career Strategy Session and talked to Pete about it and next thing I know, I’m already enrolled. I really worked hard to be one of the top students and it paid off. I even became the class MVP as I’ve been helping some of the students in our cohort. I never thought I would develop this kind of love and passion for IT because of this program in Yellow Tail Tech. I just want to also give thanks to my instructors Allan and JV. They’ve been there since day one. The community has been very supportive and motivating. Everyday we see some students get certified and it starts a fire within me that I have to succeed, I have to prove to myself and to other people that one day, nobody will look down on me because I made it this far. Thank you Yellow Tail Tech! I’m very happy to be part of this program.

Just being a student at Yellow Tail Tech is already a privilege for me. Learning at Yellow Tail Tech was a great experience. This program is on a whole other level! The instructors are top-tier, especially David Baker. He’s honestly even better than my college professor! He keeps it fun and light for us. All of our classes are recorded so it’s kind of similar to self-paced but also with a guide. I can go through them anytime I want and if I have further questions, I can always attend a weekend review session or even a one on one session with our instructor. You won’t have any excuse for failing, it’s just really up to you to put in the work and that’s what I love about this program. There’s accountability and that’s very important for success.

Read More of earning more so I tried it. Good thing they have really flexible payment terms so I was able to get by the enrollment. I was scared at first, I gotta admit. I am not a big risk taker and this is actually the first time I’m trying out something new, something bold for my career and it paid off big time! After taking up the exam twice, I finally got my certification in Red Hat and 3 months after that, I got some offers right away! I was ecstatic. I can’t believe that people wanted me to work for them as an IT professional. Hey, I was just a simple cashier a few months back. I know what I will be learning at this time and I know what I’m going to learn next. Yellow Tail Tech made sure we knew where we were going. After I finished my internship I started looking and applying for jobs and they’ve helped me with my resume and making sure that my LinkedIn profile is updated. They also made sure that I know how to answer my interviews so we did mock interviews. Me and my cohort classmates never stop communicating with each other and our instructors also talked to us giving us tips and everything. They still keep motivating us and that’s really great of them. I was studying while working at the same time and that’s really one of the challenges I have because sometimes I’m just really too tired. I couldn't join the class but it doesn’t mean I missed my lesson because they also provided us with a recording. I also practiced on my own and asked a lot of questions, anything I wouldn’t understand I would post it. My classmates were very helpful too. I absolutely, 100% recommend Yellow Tail Tech to anyone who wants to change and go into the IT industry.

It was my sister who told me about Yellow Tail Tech, her husband had enrolled in the program and he already passed his certification. She told me that they would give me a loan so I could enroll in their program. I just grabbed that opportunity and you know I did my best when I was in the program. The way Yellow Tail Tech handled the Linux for Jobs program was very neat. There were no confusing parts because everything was provided. If you need help in setting up, support is given to you, if you have questions you just post them then you’ll get your answer right away. There are even instructors who would respond to you even though it’s midnight. That’s how awesome Yellow Tail Tech is.
