Read More process is laid out it’s very high-quality and since it’s AWS there’s a lot of information to be absorbed but our instructors have been so helpful in providing us with just the right amount of information that it will not leave us having information overload. Most of the instructors at Yellow Tail Tech have been through the program and it’s one of the qualities that I also like about them because it just made the instructors kind of a role model to us. Every time we post pictures of our work, or send questions on Slack we always get feedback and I think that’s very helpful. Yellow Tail Tech is really the best school for anyone whether you have an IT experience or you don’t you will get the training to become an IT Professional.

I was still feeling bad about my last call so out of curiosity I went to Yellow Tail Tech’s website and scheduled a call. Fast forward, I’m now on cert prep, still working in customer service but I’ve been following the process since my job is on the day I have the whole night dedicated to studying and attending class. I’m not a tech-savvy person and I’ve never come across Linux before but Yellow Tail Tech helped me put my foot forward. I’m really excited about the next classes that I’ll be getting. I’m also happy because my instructors are very supportive and knowledgeable about what they’re teaching us. I like that they really push us while also teaching the topics slowly so that we can really absorb them. The pacing is really great, we’re not in a hurry but we still have a target so that’s really great for me. Studying the Linux for Jobs program not only helped me learn something new but also gave me a sense of purpose that I will not be answering calls for the rest of my life rather I will be a Linux System in the future. Thank you to the whole Yellow Tail Tech team.

I have never been into IT before, that's why I’ve never really thought about getting into IT or having a career in it. Read More in tech, she wasn’t done with the program yet but she was already very excited about landing a job. So I tried to look into it. I went to Yellow Tail Tech’s website and found the program that's currently accepting students. I talked to them and enrolled in their Linux for Jobs program. I was really glad that the classes are held at night because I can still do my job as a teacher during the day. I like how they somehow prepared us first on the first day and supported us on how to set up our tools and get ready for class. All the instructors are very knowledgeable. They really helped us understand all the concepts while having a very nice interaction with us. I also like that they helped me improve my resume and optimize my LinkedIn account so I can land a good job. When I was still in my early days at Yellow Tail Tech I never really joined most of the activities given by the Career Success Coach but after I started creating my resume, and doing mock interviews I realized how important it was. So I would advise students to take advantage of everything that Yellow Tail Tech offers, like the webinars, and activities from the Career Success Coach, it’s very helpful.

They approached the lessons in a very engaging manner and all my instructors and TA’s are knowledgeable on the lesson so it made me feel confident. I also like that the program structure is laid out very well. It’s very helpful for people who have an emergency to go to and they can’t attend class because of it so they can just see the recording. It’s absolutely hard work. I believe that no one can be successful without putting an effort for the things they want and that’s what I did when I was learning Linux. I wanted to make myself proud and also make my instructors proud. They’ve been really supportive to me since day 1 and I really admire them for it. The activities that Rob, our Career Success Coach, provided were also very helpful. It's really something that I made sure to join. Yellow Tail Tech provided the right environment for learning and I’m so grateful for it.

Yellow Tail Tech has a very well-designed teaching structure. The infrastructure of the program has a very well thought out plan to help you achieve the goal of becoming a System Administrator. I also appreciate how they know that it will take some time... Read More to be an IT professional so they have a slower pacing. They don’t rush us so that’s a plus! A great program like this can take some time but it’s totally worth it. I would rather have this anytime than having a 6 week-course and end up not gaining enough knowledge or hands on experience. If I could rate my overall experience, it would be 100/10 and I’m not even exaggerating. From their onboarding up until my program completion, I have experienced nothing but excellent support.

If you are someone who wants to have a nice career in IT, I would definitely recommend Yellow Tail Tech for you. It worked for a 50 year old like me then it should work for you too! I had no time and money to study because I was raising 2 girls so I just kept my job in the army even though it wasn’t really what I wanted to do. When I got out of the army I had to put my kids to college so I did 2 jobs while working on the side. It was my daughter’s idea to put me back to studying when she saw a Yellow Tail Tech ad. I didn’t want to pursue it but they pushed me to do it because they know that, that’s what I’ve always wanted to do. They even paid for my tuition. It was hard for someone my age at first but they guided me every step of the way. Special thanks to Zee who never gave up on me. I really appreciate how much care they put into my success. I never imagined I could still get a job in IT but I did. Now, I’m a Linux System Administrator at John Hopkins. It’s unbelievable. This is the best program ever!

I talked to my sister and she agreed to be my co-signer and there, I’m already enrolled. I was very excited for the program and it did not disappoint. Everything was on point! I’ve been assigned to one of their best instructors, David and I am very happy as hell! He’s just making it seem so fun and light for us even though it’s not easy, but I’m trusting him and the whole team! Right now, we’re about to go into the internship after I passed my certification and I couldn’t be more excited. I heard we’re going to complete a lot of tickets and I’m really looking forward to it.

The cert prep sessions were something that I couldn’t forget because when I took the Red Hat exam the things that we discussed and practiced were also there so I felt really confident when I took it. I just passed a month ago and I’m now getting ready for the internship. I’m very excited about the next steps, my daughter who’s also studying. We study together at night so we bond together while I’m listening to the recorded discussions and she’s also doing her stuff. I like that Yellow Tail Tech puts great emphasis on the basics because it’s really the foundation. I believe that you will never know the value of high-level concepts if you have a fragile idea of the basics. I signed up right away and I am very happy with how flexible and considerate the payment scheme is. Right now, I’m currently at the cert prep course and I’m amazed how hands on they are. They give us a lot of practice tests and I’ve heard from the past students how close the practice tests are to the actual exam. It’s just a matter of practice and confidence and right now I am 100% ready to take my exam.
