Bloc is an online coding bootcamp that incorporates 1-on-1 mentorship, a project-based curriculum, and career coaching to prepare each student for a career as a professional software engineer or UX/UI designer. Whether you want to enroll in Bloc's Web Developer Track or Designer Track, you can learn full-time or part-time at your own pace. The comprehensive bootcamp was designed to fit your learning needs.

In order to promote diversity and equality within the tech industry, Bloc has dedicated scholarships for underrepresented groups including women, US veterans, and ethnic minority groups.

Close the Gap Scholarship:

It's no secret that women are underrepresented in the tech industry. Only 26% of positions in professional computing occupations are held by women. To increase the number of women in technology-related fields, Bloc launched a $1 Million Close The Gap Fund for women pursuing new careers in tech.

Self-identifying women who aren't currently enrolled in a Bloc program are eligible for up to 25% off program tuition for the part-time Web Developer Track or Designer Track. Potential students must apply to be considered for the scholarship.

Veterans Scholarship

All veterans, active duty, and military spouses are eligible for up to 25% off program tuition for the part-time Web Developer Track or Designer Track. Potential students must apply to be considered for the scholarship.

Diversity Scholarship:

Each week, two applicants from underrepresented ethnic minority groups are selected to receive a $500 scholarship towards Bloc's Web Developer Track or Designer Track. Potential students must apply to be considered for the scholarship.

Hear What Scholarship Recipients Have to Say:

"The more traditional 'get a masters/go back to college route' was entirely [sic] unfeasible with working a full-time job, and I very much wanted a structured way to pursue learning to be a developer. Bloc offered a flexible opportunity that fits in with my life rather than demanding an entirely new one."

- Shelby Coleman

"I chose Bloc.io as my bootcamp to navigate the transition from financial services into software development. Last month, about 68% through the course, I accepted an offer for a Full Stack Developer position and turned down 2 others. So in my experience, yes someone without a tech background can really get a development job with Bloc's apprenticeship style course."
