"Still studying"
I really liked it, thank you for being very patient with me and correcting me every time and letting me try again.
I like the way they teach, because it starts with theory and show you how to put things into practice and how it could be useful either for... Read More

"Practical, rigorous introduction to data science with real-world applications"
The MIT IDSS Data Science and Machine Learning program provides a strong foundation in applying data-driven decision-making to real business problems. The curriculum balances theoretical concepts, such as model evaluation, bias-variance tradeoff, and... Read More
One of the most valuable aspects of the program is its focus on practical application. Projects and exercises push you to think critically about model selection, interpretation of results, and how to translate insights into business impact. This is particularly useful for professionals looking to bridge the gap between technical knowledge and strategic decision-making.
The program does require a time commitment and a certain level of comfort with quantitative thinking, especially when working through assignments and understanding model performance metrics. However, for those willing to put in the effort, it is a highly rewarding experience.
Overall, I would recommend this program to professionals in finance, business, or analytics who want to strengthen their data science skills and apply them in a practical, real-world context.

"Review for Certificate Program in Applied Generative AI"
I completed the Certificate Program in Applied Generative AI and found it to be a well-structured and highly relevant course for anyone looking to build practical skills in this fast-evolving field. The curriculum strikes a good balance between foundational... Read More
The instructors explain complex ideas clearly and provide useful examples that make the material easier to grasp, even for those transitioning from a non-AI background. I particularly appreciated the applied focus of the program—assignments and projects encouraged me to think critically about how generative AI can be used in real business scenarios.
The self-paced format offers flexibility, but it also requires discipline to stay on track. While the course is labeled as intermediate, I think beginners with some technical curiosity can still follow along, though a bit of prior exposure to programming or data concepts would help.
Overall, this program is a solid investment for professionals looking to upskill in AI, especially in generative technologies that are becoming increasingly important across industries. It gave me both the confidence and practical tools to start applying generative AI in my work.

"Drinking from a Fire Hose—and Loving Every Minute"
My goal was to prove to myself I had in me to "go back to school," even if in a part time, certification program capacity. I had such a great time with this course. Given the current AI inflection point where society seems to be I simply had to understand... Read More
Like any good program it was designed to allow you to take as much out of it as you were willing to put in. It was boarder-line to complex, by design, the entire time because it encouraged me to be curious enough to think and puzzle over the small things. Working with my colleagues in the cohort it was clear that each of us felt that same way. It was also clear that each of us was taking from the course work.
Each of the course sections tackles a different aspect of coding, statistics, data science, machine learning, and ultimately generative AI. Depending on where you start, the curriculum can be like drinking from a fire hose from course topic to course topic. The deep learning course, for me, was where I hit some topics that were completely foreign and fascinating. Others topics, before and after, weren't as demanding (for me). The faculty was amazing. That MIT professors really know not only their field but how to educate. It was a joy listening to them all.
I had no coding experience and took on the "full code" approach to the assignments. It took effort, but I feel like the program equipped me with what I needed to accel. The quizzes, assignments, and even the final projects were fun and engaging.
One note, I have a solid background in statistics but had no background at all in matrix algebra. The course attempts to teach both topics, but the linear algebra (super important in this field) was something I had to really focus on throughout the program.
